How to Accept Admission on JAMB and School Portal

Now that candidates are being offered admissions, many want to know how to accept the offers both on the JAMB portal and the school portal.

Some candidates know how to go about acceptance on the JAMB portal but not on the school portal. Some know how to accept on the school portal but not on the JAMB portal.

Some don't even know how to go about the two. They were just informed of the admissions through email or by checking through SMS.

In this post, I will be showing you how to accept admissions on the JAMB portal. After that, proceed to how to accept on the school portal too.

How to Accept Admissions on the JAMB Portal/CAPS

Below are the steps to take in order to accept your admission offer by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.

1. Visit the JAMB p login page - efacility or click https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/Login
2. Enter your JAMB profile email and the password to the JAMB profile. If you've not linked your email with the JAMB profile before, follow the guide to do that here.
3. After logging into the JAMB profile, scroll up to see "Check Admission Status" and click on that.
4. On the next page, you will see two links. The first is "Access My CAPS". The other is "Check Admission Status". Click on the former.
5. Note that if you're not using a computer, your mobile browser may not adapt very well here. Hence, those who are using phones or mobile devices should use Chrome browser and change their mobile view to the desktop site in the setting to see more options under the JAMB CAPS.
6. Now on the CAPS section, locate the Admission Status link and click it. 
7. This will open a page where you will be shown two buttons to click. The first button is "Accept", and the second is "Reject". Click on the "Accept" button to confirm your acceptance of the JAMB admission offer.
8. After this, log out and log in again. Then follow the same process above. This time, you will see JAMB notice that "You have now accepted the admission". 
9. You can now print the JAMB admission letter for your further reference.

How to Accept Admissions on the School Portal/Website

Having established that the admission by JAMB is different from the admission offer by the schools, though the same result, you should follow the steps below to accept the admission offer by your university, polytechnic, or college of education.

1. Log in to your post-UTME, screening, or admission portal. Here, you may need your JAMB registration number only or together with a chosen password used during the online registration, in order to log in.
2. After this, you should be on your student's or applicant's dashboard. Locate there, any notice of admission offer. If seen, click on any link to accept the admission in order to accept the offer.
3. Most schools will require you to make the payment of the acceptance fee before your acceptance of admission can be valid e.g. FUOYE, OSCOTHEH Esa Oke, UNIOSUN, LAUTECH, etc.
4. Make the payment and print the acceptance receipt, acceptance form (if any), admission letter, and any other slips required.

Conclusion

Generally, the method of accepting admissions on the JAMB portal/CAPS is the same for all UTME and DE candidates. However, in most cases, the guide stated above, for accepting admissions on the schools' portals, will be what your institution will use. 

This simply means, accepting admission on the school portal is, usually, more than just clicking on the acceptance link. You have to make the payment of the acceptance fee on the school portal, immediately, to validate the interest in the offer. And if there will be any difference, it shouldn't be anything much.
