How To Know Your School Acceptance Fee? List!

When our parents are curious to know how much the acceptance fee of a school is, you should know where the concern is coming from. Some parents want to know so they can prepare forearmed.

Some don't trust their wards when they state some fees. Some just want to be sure if a school charges acceptance, at all.

In certain cases, it's not the parents who want to know, sponsors and students, themselves, will want to know how much to prepare for the acceptance of their institutions.

In any of the cases, there is a question that must be answered, "How much is the acceptance fee of your school?".

In this post, I will try to give the best possible explanation of what a school's acceptance fee should be or is.

No Universal Price for Schools' Acceptance Fees

Okay, so here's the lowdown on acceptance fees for schools: Forget about any rumors or assumptions because there's no one-size-fits-all price tag. Each school does its own thing in this department.

Yep, you got it straight. Whether it's a big federal university, a state college, or even a private institution, they're the ones calling the shots when it comes to setting that acceptance fee. It's like a blank canvas for them to paint their own price picture.

So, if you're shopping around for schools, be prepared for a bit of a pricing rollercoaster. It's a wild world out there in the world of acceptance fees, and each institution's got its own wallet-friendly or not-so-friendly policies.

Acceptance Fee Is Usually Within the Range of N10,000 and N50,000

As an education consultant, who has produced several students to various institutions nationwide, I've got a stock of experience to share with you when talking about how much each school will charge for the acceptance fee.

I've observed that, mostly, newly admitted students are charged between N10,000 and N50,000 for the acceptance fee. And in fact, it won't matter whether the school is private or government, the fee doesn't reflect that.

For example, the Federal University Oye Ekiti sets N50,000 for the acceptance fee while the Osun State University sets N40,000.

The Federal Polytechnic Ede and Federal Polytechnic Offa set N20,000 while the Federal College of Health Ilesa and Kwara State College of Health Offa set N10,000 and N20,000 respectively.

Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife (OAU) is no longer charging students for acceptance fees. Though that might have been included in the total fee, the university is not charging any of such separately from the tuition.

Instead, it's meant to give you some insights into what the acceptance of your proposed school should be like. In fact, some schools go beyond the N50,000 mark I stated earlier. To help you get the idea further, let me help you with a few schools more.

Conclusion

With time this fee may change, although it's uncommon for the acceptance fee to change in years. When it does, you shouldn't expect a serious gap from what is stated on this page.

However, a school's current acceptance is checked on the official school's website. Where it's known, (you can google search the official website too), kindly know that the one there supersedes this if any difference.
