Candidates who sat for WAEC GCE (August/Sep series or Jan/Feb series) can now access their original results/certificates digitally through the official WAEC online platform, requiring registration, verification, and a payment of ₦7,500, enabling them to download, print, or share their certificates, while WAEC May/June students collect theirs from their schools and GCE Nov/Dec candidates pick up theirs at any WAEC office, with the platform also facilitating organizations to confirm the authenticity of certificates for a fee.
That doesn't include the WAEC May/June (school candidates WAEC) or WAEC GCE (the older GCE Nov/Dec). The WAEC May/June students are usually asked to visit their schools for the collection of their own certificates while GCE Nov/Dec candidates can pick up their certificates at any WAEC office closer to them or the branch at the exam state
To help further, especially if you're not closer to your schools, the exam body had now launched an online platform not only to print your WAEC result, you can, as well, access, confirm and share it with any organizations (either at home or abroad).
This type of original result is called a digital certificate which, of course, is the same (in terms of details, quality, and acceptability/recognition) as the paper one you will get from your school or WAEC office if you will have the time and resources to go back and pick it.
WAEC has created the platform to serve two main parties; candidates and organizations.
While the "access account" is made for individual WAEC candidates, organizations, or companies that want to be sure of the correctness and authenticity of certificates of any existing staff or prospective ones will create "certificate confirmation accounts".
In this post, I will share with you, the official WAEC platform, where you can access, confirm, print, or share your orifical WAEC certificate. Then, I will take you through the process of doing that.
