    2024/2025 ADVERTISEMENT FOR ADMISSION INTO OAUTHC SCHOOLS OF NURSING, MIDWIFERY, AND PERIOPERATIVE NURSING 

    Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following Nursing Programmes of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife:

    1. National Diploma (ND) in Nursing
    2. Post Basic General Nursing
    3. Post Basic Midwifery
    4. Post Basic Perioperative Nursing

    OAUTHC School of Nursing ND/HND Nursing Admission

    This is a four-year program commencing in October 2024.

    Interested applicants, after being admitted will be trained for a four-year program that will lead to the award of an ND/HND in Nursing.

    The training will be held at either of the schools below:

    1. School of Nursing, Ife Hospital Unit, Ile-Ife
    2. School of Nursing, Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa

    Upon the completion of the program, nurses could work at any public or privately owned hospital, clinic, or health care center and even do more.

    OAUTHC School of Nursing Entry/Admission Requirements

    1. Applicants must possess WAEC, SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE with five (5) credits (at not more than two sittings) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. 
    2. Read: Can I use the NABTEB Result for Nursing Admission? See Answer!
    3. Applicants should be at least sixteen (16) years old on admission.

    JAMB UTME Requirements for OAUTHC School of Nursing

      1. Applicant(s) are advised to obtain the year 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) form and sit for the examination, so as to enable successful candidates to regularize their admission status with JAMB as soon as they are admitted into the OAUTHC Schools of Nursing.
      2. Applicant(s) are advised to choose OAUTHC School of Nursing, Ile-Ife as their first choice of institution.
      3. It is compulsory for the interested applicant(s) to register for these four (4) courses in their UTME form online, namely: - English language, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
      4. Candidates must have scored not less than 180 in the UTME as the school cut-off mark
      5. All candidates must ensure that they upload their O/Level results into the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) portal and choose the School of Nursing OAUTHC, Ile-Ife, Osun State as their first choice of institution.
      6. The OAUTHC Schools of Nursing both at Ile-Ife and Ilesa respectively have been accredited by the National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) to run a National Diploma (ND) in Nursing.

      OAUTHC School of Nursing Method of Application

      1. Visit the OAUTHC admission portal or click https://oauthc.gov.ng/advertsonadmission.php
      2. Fill the basic profile form to start the application. 
      3. Fill out the profile account creation form. Make sure you supply a correct and functioning email and phone number. You will also choose a unique username and password you can remember. Hint: You can use your email as the username and phone number as the password. Submit this form and you will be redirected to log in
      4. Log in with your chosen username and password. On the next page, click on Entrance Form Payment, under the page menu at the top of the display. You will be directed to see your RRR before you can click to pay eight thousand, two hundred and four naira, twenty-five kobo (#8,204.25) including the Remita charges. Make sure you copy or print this RRR for record and reference reasons. 
      5. After a successful payment, log in again to resume your registration. Click on "Complete Your Form" and fill in all the required details including personal data and educational information and result details
      6. After that, proceed and click on "Upload Picture" to upload your scanned or snapped passport photo
      7. Submit your application and print the acknowledgment slip or evidence of the application.
      8. Post-UTME Screening Exercise will hold for candidates who passed the UTME Entrance Examination and made School of Nursing, OAUTHC, Ile-Ife, Osun State as their first choice of institution, or those willing to change their institution and make School of Nursing OAUTHC, Ile-Ife, Osun State, their first choice for the approved programme.

          It's not under ASUU. Before now, they issued RN but since they've started asking for UTME for admissions, they would be awarding ND/HND in Nursing. Read more about this in the post below.
