How Many Times Does NDA Sell Form Per Year?

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA)'s way of selling its admission form can be confusing for some aspirants. The Defence Ministry University usually sells its admission form a few months before JAMB UTME will even be on sale. Though may not close until JAMB UTME also closes.

Whereas you must obtain the JAMB UTME form if you'll process NDA admission too. 

However, most aspirants will mistake the NDA form to be like other conventional universities that do sell admission forms when JAMB results have been released and checked.

Nigerian Defence Academy Sells Admission Form Once a Year

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) usually sells its admission form once every year. The sale of its entrance form may last for about five months starting, usually from October and ending in March.

If you're an intending student, it'll be wise to be on the lookout for the sale of the admission form in late October which is expected to sell through to mid or late March. For example, the 2023 form was on sale from the 24th of October to the 21st of March.

Nigerian NDA Doesn't Sell Forms Two Times in a Year

I've heard the misconception that NDA usually sells its forms twice a year. No!

It's important to note that NDA is not only available in Nigeria. The university, NDA, is usually founded and administered by the Ministries of Defence of other countries.

For example, the National Defense Academy of Japan, the National Defence Academy of India, the United States Military Academy (West Point), Australian Defence Force Academy are a few that come to mind now.

The NDA of India form is released twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The exact dates of release may vary from year to year, but generally, the NDA I notification is released in January/February, while the NDA II notification is released in June/July.

As you can see, you might just be mixing things up as the Nigerian Defence Academy will sell its form only once every year, unlike the Indian counterpart.

Similarly, the Nigerian Army recruitment form is different from the NDA form. NDA comes once a year while the Nigerian Army may sell its recruit form twice a year - one by March/April and the other by Oct/Nov.

Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Entrance is Once a Year Too

Needless to say, but for the sake of clarification, NDA here, truly will conduct an exam after the closure of its online application.

The exam apparently is "once" used to decide aspirants who will proceed to the interview and screening stage.

After the form is closed, there is usually a waiting time of about two or three weeks before the entrance exam will hold.

Once, this is done, the next stage is interview/screening, as earlier noted. No form or any other exam until Oct/Nov when the next year's admission process will commence.
