Does NDA Accept NCE, ND, IJMB, JUPEB, A'levels?

Candidates having an interest in the Nigerian Defence Academy, are growing year in and year out. Of course, NDA is the dream of every Nigerian youth (and shortcut) to join the Nigerian Army, Airforce or Navy from university.

And generally, we all know that SSCE holders are making their way to the academy. But very many don't know if the university is accepting other advanced results such as  NCE, OND, IJMB, and JUPEB.

In other words, since the holders of the above-listed certificates/qualifications are qualified for Direct entry admissions, is NDA accepting them for direct entry too?

In this post, I will be answering the question and shedding light on related matters.

First, NDA is Not Accepting Direct Entry (DE) Applicants

In my post "Universities that Accept Direct Entry Applicants", I excluded the Nigerian Defence Academy. The university is not accepting candidates who may wish to join it through the JAMB DE applications.

This position is not temporary as the university has never accepted applicants into the 200-level of any of its programmes. However, in the future, which I will be sure to update here, the university may join the league of the conventional universities accepting Direct entry applicants.

As a Result, NDA Will Not Accept OND, NCE, IJMB, JUPEP etc for Its Admissions

If you must use any of the above-listed qualifications for admission, it's obvious, to gain admission into the 200-level and through Direct Entry. However, since the university doesn't take applicants for such a level, you won't be able to use your certification.

To date, only SSCE (O'level) holders i.e. candidates with WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and NBAIS are being admitted into NDA courses. Even though these aspirants are required to take part in its entrance exam (we also call it the post-UTME), and interview (if passed), they are to obtain JAMB UTME, select the university and meet the cut-off mark for their individual course of choice.

Conclusion

NDA will not be accepting ND, NCE, IJMB, JUPEB or any advanced course certificate for its admission, as the university is not admitting, to date, students through Direct entry.
