JAMB: After Profile Code and PIN, What Next?

Now that you have obtained your JAMB profile code, it is essential to understand the subsequent steps in the registration process. If you have not yet familiarized yourself with the process, I recommend referring to my recent post for guidance.

With the profile code secured, the next steps toward registering for the JAMB UTME or DE involve a few key actions. Let's explore these steps in detail.

1. Procure Your JAMB PIN

The immediate next step is to purchase your JAMB PIN. There are several channels through which you can do this:

1. Directly at any accredited CBT center: Here, the center will procure the PIN for you from any available point of sale and subsequently use it to obtain the JAMB UTME form. The price of the PIN remains as officially announced by JAMB.
2. From any nearby cyber café: You can purchase the PIN from a nearby cyber café and then proceed to the nearest JAMB accredited CBT center for final registration. While the PIN may cost slightly more than the official price due to the inclusion of the café's service charge, there will be no further payment required at the CBT center.
3. You can use our service at schoolcontents.info to get your JAMB UTME/DE PIN. Then, take it to any CBT center for the registration with paying anything again
4. Through other available channels: You can also purchase the PIN directly from various other channels. I have discussed some of these convenient methods for obtaining the JAMB PIN in my post titled "How Can I Buy JAMB PIN Online/Offline Myself?"

After Obtaining the PIN, Proceed with the Registration

Following the acquisition of your PIN, the next step is to commence registration. It's important to note that self-registration or assistance from a café is not permissible. Only accredited CBT centers are authorized to register candidates for UTME, while DE applicants must visit designated JAMB offices for registration.

The registration process at a CBT centers will necessitate the following:

1. JAMB UTME PIN
2. Previous examination results (e.g., WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or NBAIS). If results are pending, candidates can proceed with registration and later return to upload the results.
3. Profile code
4. Information regarding choice of schools and courses, subject combinations for JAMB, intended exam town/city, contact address, etc.

For DE applicants, the registration process requires the following:

1. JAMB PIN
2. Profile Code
3. Former JAMB admission letter
4. Previous qualification results or certificates (e.g., BSc, HND, ND, RN, RM, NCE, ND, IJMB, or JUPEB)
5. National Identification Number (NIN)

Ensuring that all necessary documents are prepared and presented accurately will facilitate a smooth registration process for both UTME and DE candidates.
