JAMB Profile Code: "Object Reference Not Set Instance" Solution

There are cases of students who are trying to get their JAMB profile codes, facing the complaint or error, "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". After sending the normal NIN to 55019/66019, what they received is "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

So, what is the reason for this complaint? What is the possible solution or way out?

JAMB Guide If You Get the "Object Reference Not Set to an Instance of an Object"

JAMB helped on this when a student reported this issue. The person said,

"Help me out please, I have been sending for several times still can't get my profile code."

In its response, the board said,

Kindly take note that profile code could not be generated with a freebie token. Please recharge your phone the normal way and try again. If there is no problem with your token, email your name and the 11 digits of your NIN to [email protected], wait four hours, and try again.

  1. In addition to contacting NIMC using the email provided above, it is advisable to also copy the same email to NIMC customer care at [email protected] or call 07002255646
  2. If you have never taken the JAMB exam before or if you have not received any profile code in the previous year, consider changing your SIM card. Use a different SIM card instead of the one causing the issue. You can register another SIM or utilize a second line, or even use a parent's SIM card.
  3. Another approach is to remove your SIM card from the current device you are using. Place it in another phone or a basic feature phone and resend the SMS.
  4. If you have taken the JAMB exam before or received a profile code in the previous JAMB session, it is recommended to use the same profile code for this year's JAMB. Using the same profile code is permissible, and it must be utilized for all your JAMB attempts.
