Requirements For Obtaining Forms and Eligibility

1. O'level Results: Applicants are required to have at least five credits in O'level subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in not more than two sittings. Acceptable SSCE includes WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, and GCE.
2. Age: Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of admission. That's the generally accepted age. However, school schools of nursing may want higher ages than 16.
3. Entrance Examination: Applicants are required to sit for the school's entrance examination, which usually covers topics such as English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
4. Application Form: Applicants are required to obtain the school's application form and submit it along with their credentials. Mostly, schools of nursing have dedicated portals for aspirants to obtain their forms. A local café can help you to obtain the form instead of going to the campus.
5. JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) Examination: Some nursing schools in Nigeria may require applicants to write the JAMB examination and obtain a minimum score before being considered for admission.
6. Application fee: Applicants are usually required to pay an application fee to process their application. This is usually paid directly on the school admission portal. A few may still be using banks. Yet, you don't pay into an individual person's account.

1. Medical Fitness: Applicants are required to present a certificate of medical fitness from a recognized government hospital or clinic. Some may delay this till you come on campus so they can conduct the test themselves.
2. Immunization Records: Some nursing schools in Nigeria may require applicants to provide evidence of immunization against certain diseases, such as hepatitis B and tetanus
3. Interview: Applicants who pass the entrance examination are usually invited for an interview, which may include questions on nursing-related topics and general knowledge.
4. Character Reference: Applicants may also be required to provide a character reference from a reputable individual or organization, such as a religious leader, employer, or community leader.
5. State of Origin Certificate: Some nursing schools in Nigeria may give preference to applicants from their state of location. Even if not, admitted students are usually generally required applicants to provide evidence of indigene-ship.
6. Birth Certificate: Even though some schools of Nursing e.g. UNILOIN TH School of Nursing, may ask you to scan and upload this during the application stage, very many will wait till you're admitted before requesting a birth certificate or court-age declaration
7. Payment of Acceptance fee: Applicants who are offered admission into a nursing school in Nigeria are usually required to pay an acceptance fee to secure their admission.
