Missing the post-UTME usually reduces your chances of admission, but some schools may still offer you a spot and allow you to complete the screening later.
A few others picked the schools in the JAMB but never obtain their post-UTME/screening forms. Yet, they want to know if they stand a chance to be offered by such schools.
In this post, I will share some experiences which clarify situations that may warrant a school, you choose in JAMB but never do its post UTME, to offer you admission or a school you didn't choose, at all, to offer you a space on its admission list.
Don't Expect Admission If You Missed Post UTME
For some reason, even though you picked a school in JAMB, and filled out its online post-UTME form, but missed the post-UTME, you should not expect admission.
There are schools that require about four conditions to be met before they can consider you on their lists. They want you to:
- choose them during the JAMB registration or change to them (and usually as the first choice)
- fill out their online forms called post UTME/screening forms
- Partake in their entrance exam (usually CBT) or just obtain the online form together with physical screening
- Meet their post-UTME/screening departmental cut-off mark
If you're asking about schools such as Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Lagos, Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Federal Polytechnic Offa, Adeyemi College of Education, Oyo, the Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, etc., at least, three of the above-listed conditions will be met before you can expect their admission.

Some Schools May Give You Admission If Miss the Post UTME
Even though you can still be rescheduled for the post-UTME/screening, if you miss it, a few schools may however offer you admission.
For example, if you picked the Federal College of Education (Special) Oyo in JAMB, and obtained its screening form but could not go for the physical screening, you might still be offered admission (through the JAMB CAPS) in the end. You could later be subjected to the missed screening.
Some schools, that you didn't choose in JAMB, could even offer you admission. In this sense, you didn't do their post-UTMEs or screenings too. If they offer you admission, they will ask you to come forth for the physical screening (if they still want) even after accepting such an offer.
Some schools, well known for this, include the Lens Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State, Ibadan City Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State, and very many other private universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

Conclusion
If you miss out on post UTME/screening, in most cases, you should not expect an offer. However, for some schools, that may offer you admission based on choosing them in the JAMB UTME, the appearance for the screening may be done later after being offered admission. The same is applicable to those that you don't have to choose in JAMB but are willing to offer you admission notwithstanding.
