Will Iree Poly (OSPOLY) Write Post UTME or Screening?

A few students had asked me if Osun State Polytechnic Iree will be writing post-UTME or will conduct an online or on-campus +screening instead. They’ve got their answers.

I think you may find yourself in the same dilemma if you’re an aspirant of the state-owned polytechnic in the ancient of Iree.

There is a need to ask this question if you want to know how to prepare yourself for what is to come after the release of JAMB results or after obtaining the polytechnic's form online.

To get a direct answer to the question at hand, here we go.

YES – Screening! Iree Poly will conduct screening instead of writing entrance exams for their aspirants into various National Diploma (ND) courses. The screening only requires aspirants' physical presence during chosen dates for verifications of papers after they might have already obtained the form on the official admission portal of the polytechnic.

How Will Iree Poly Conduct the Physical Screening?

1. The management of Osun State Polytechnic Iree will announce the sales of their admission screening form. Candidates are expected to obtain the form by filling it out online. 
2. During the online registration, you’re to supply among other things your O’level subjects’ grades and UTME score.
3. After the submission online, the system will automatically award you a score. This score is calculated with a certain grading system based on your 5 SSCE subjects required for the proposed course and the UTME score. The higher this score, the more likely you’re going to be offered admission.
4. You will print out your evidence of online registration and present it during the school’s physical screening which will be conducted after being offered admission.
5. Before being offered admission, there will be a physical screening. During the screening, candidates’ Primary school certificates or testimonials, O’level results, JAMB scores, Local Government Identifications, Original JAMB results, and birth certificates will be checked and confirmed.
6. After this, candidates should keep checking their admission status through the JAMB CAPS to know when the polytechnic has admitted them. You’re to accept the admission thereon if offered.
7. The institution will later release the admission lists on the school portal as well. You'll have to log in to your screening portal and navigate to the admission status link to know if the school has also offered you.
8. Once given on the school portal, you're to make the payment for the acceptance fee before coming finally to the campus.
