While registering for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE), you may want to consider the Nigerian Army University, Biu, Borno State. The university may also come to mind if you're trying to change institutions/courses.

Important Guidelines to Study the Brochure

1. For better understanding, below, you will see the names of the courses. And below each course, you will see the Direct Entry requirement numbered 1, SSCE i.e. WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB subjects requirements numbered 2 with UTME subjects numbered 3.
2. Where the DE requirement states "A'level". This includes Advanced qualifications such as JUPEB, IJMB, Cambridge, etc. Just be sure you know the one being accepted by the university
3. Only three UTME subjects will be included in each course. This is because English is general to all courses. Hence, it's not repeated to save space.

1. Accounting

1. Two (2)'A' Level passes including Economics.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two (2) other relevant subjects.
3. Mathematics, Economics, and any other Social Science subject

2. Arabic Studies

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Arabic and any other Arts subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Arabic, and three (3) other relevant subjects.
3. Arabic and two (2) subjects from Arts and/or Social Sciences.

3. Biology

1. i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes from Chemistry, Biology, Botany/Zoology. (ii) NCE merit accepted.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Physics.
3. Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.

4. Building

1. 'A' Level passes in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and any one of Geography, Economics, Arts, and Technical drawing. For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be Intro. to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building/Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold / Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.
3. Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry

5. Chemistry

1. i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) of Physics, Mathematics or Biology. (ii) ND/NCE with good grades in relevant 'O' Level subjects.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
3. Chemistry and two (2) of Physics, Biology and Mathematics.

6. Civil Engineering

1. (i) 'A' Level passes in Physics and Mathematics. (ii) ND/HND upper credit at appropriate levels.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language and one Science subject
3. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

7. Computer Science

1. i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in science subjects including Mathematics (ii) NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) other Science or Social Science subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two (2) other Science subjects.
3. Mathematics, Physics and one (1) of Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics and Geography.

8. Criminology And Security Studies

1. Two (2)'A' Level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government.
2. Five (5)SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two (2) of Arts or Social Science subjects.
3. Economics, Mathematics and any of Government, History, Geography, Literature in English, French and Christian Religious Studies/Islamic Studies.

9. Cyber Security

1. i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in science subjects including Mathematics (ii) NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) other Science or Social Science subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two (2) other Science subjects.
3. Mathematics, Physics and one (1) of Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics and Geography.

10. Economics

1. Two (2)'A' Level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government.
2. Five (5)SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two (2) of Arts or Social Science subjects.
3. Economics, Mathematics and any of Government, History, Geography, Literature in English, French and Christian Religious Studies/Islamic Studies.

11. Electrical/Electronics Engineering

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language and any other Science subject.
3. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

12. Electronics

1. NCE/Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Physics and Mathematics or Chemistry.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other Science subject from Further Mathematics and Biology or Agricultural Science.
3. Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Biology.

13. English Language

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes to include Literature in English and one other Arts subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Literature in English, English Language and three other Arts or Social Science subjects.
3. Literature in English, one other Arts subject and another Arts or Social Science subject.

14. Environmental Management

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Mathematics or Geography and one of Economics, Physics and Chemistry.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Geography and any other four (4) relevant subjects plus a pass in English Language.
3. Mathematics, Geography and any one of Economics, Physics and Chemistry.

15. Estate Management

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Biology and Physics.
2. Five (5) SSCE credit passes including Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language.
3. Mathematics, Economics and one other subject

16. French

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes including French and one other Arts subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including French and English Language plus one other Arts subject.
3. French and any other two (2) subjects from Arts and Social Sciences

17. Geography

1. Two (2)'A' Level passes in Geography and any one of Economics., Government, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Geography, and any three (3) from Arts or Social Science subjects with at least a pass in Mathematics.
3. Geography and two (2) other Arts or Social Science subjects

18. Hausa

1. Two (2) A’ Level passes in Hausa and any other relevant subjects.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language and Hausa.
3. Hausa, Literature in English and any of Economics, Government, History and Arabic.

19. Igbo

1. (i) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Igbo and one  (1) Arts/Social Sciences subject. (ii) NCE in Igbo and one Arts subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Igbo, English Language and any other Arts subject.
3. Igbo and two (2) subjects from Arts and Social Sciences.

20. Information Systems

1. i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in science subjects including Mathematics (ii) NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) other Science or Social Science subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two (2) other Science subjects.
3. Mathematics, Physics and one (1) of Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics and Geography.

21. Information Technology

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes in science subjects including Mathematics (ii) NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) other Science or Social Science subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two (2) other Science subjects.
3. Mathematics, Physics and one (1) of Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics and Geography.

22. International Relations

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Social Science subject from Government/History, Economics, Sociology and Business Management.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Government or History and three (3) relevant subjects. 
3. Economics, Literature in English and Geography/Government/History

23. Management

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, plus any two (2) of Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography, and Statistics.
3. Mathematics, Economics and one (1) other subject.

24. Mathematics

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Mathematics and any other science subject. (ii) NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) of Physics, Chemistry or Economics
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry.
3. Mathematics and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry and Economics or Geography.

25. Mechanical Engineering

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes from Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. (ii) ND upper credit, NCE technical and HND in Mech. Engineering.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language and any other Science subject.
3. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

26. Metallurgical And Material Engineering

1. 'A' Level passes in any two (2) of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language and one other Science subject.
3. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

27. Military History

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in History and any other related subjects.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include History and English Language.
3. History and any other two (2) subjects from Arts and Social Sciences.

28. Peace Studies And Conflict Resolution

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Government and one other Social Science subject
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes  including English Language Government or History and at least a pass in Mathematics
3. Three (3) Arts or Social Science subjects

29. Physics

1. NCE/Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Physics and Mathematics or Chemistry.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other Science subject from Further Mathematics and Biology or Agricultural Science.
3. Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Biology.

30. Political Science

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes including Government or History.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in Government or History, English Language and three (3) other subjects.  A pass in Mathematics is required.
3. Government or History plus two (2) other Social Science/Arts subjects.

31. Psychology

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes including Government or History.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in Government or History, English Language and three (3) other subjects.  A pass in Mathematics is required.
3. Any three (3) subjects from Arts or Social Science

32. Sociology

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes including Government or History.    
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in Government or History, English Language and three (3) other subjects.  A pass in Mathematics is required.
3. Three (3) Social Science or Arts subjects.

33. Software Engineering

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes in science subjects including Mathematics (ii) NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) other Science or Social Science subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two (2) other Science subjects.
3. Mathematics, Physics and one (1) of Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics and Geography.

34. Structural Engineering

1. (i)  'A' Level passes in Physics and Mathematics. (ii) ND/HND upper credit at appropriate levels.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language and one Science subject
3. Physics, Chemistry And Mathematics

35. Surveying And Geoinformatics

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes chosen from Mathematics or Physics and Chemistry, Geography or Fine Arts. (ii) ND/HND upper credits in relevant field.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any of Fine Art, Geography or Wood Work, Biology, Economics, Technical Drawing, Further. Mathematics., Introduction to Building Construction, Bricklaying/Block laying, Concreting, Wall, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Joinery, Carpentary, Decorative Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall Hanging, Colour Mixing/Matching and Glazing, Ceramics, Graphics Design, Graphic Printing, Basic Electricity
3. Physics, Mathematics, and any of Chemistry, Geography, Art, Biology, and Economics.

36. Transport And Logistics Management

1. Two (2)'A' Level passes including Economics.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two (2) other relevant subjects.

37. Urban And Regional Planning

1. (i) Two (2) A’ LEVEL passes in Geography and Mathematics (ii) ND/HND upper credit in Town Planning or related programmes plus UTME requirements are accepted
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Geography, and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Government, Biology, Art, History, IRK/CRK, Social Studies, and Tech Drawing.
3. Mathematics, Geography, and one of Economics, Physics, Chemistry.

38. Yoruba

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes to include Yoruba or Literature in English.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Yoruba and English Language.
3. Yoruba and two (2) other subjects in Arts or Social Sciences
