Maritime Academy of Oron Courses: SSCE/UTME Requirements

MARITIME ACADEMY OF NIGERIA ORON DELTA STATE: LIST OF COURSES, UTME AND SSCE REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSIONS

The following is the list of conditions of admissions, courses at the academy plus UTME and SSCE subject requirements to be qualified for admissions into Maritime Academy Oron. 

1. BOAT AND SHIPBUILDING ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY
2. ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY
3. MARINE ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY
4. MARITIME TRANSPORT & BUSINESS STUDIES
5. NAUTICAL SCIENCE

National Diploma (ND) in Nautical Sciences

Entry Requirement

1. Candidates must sit for Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)/Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), Choose the Academy as 1st Choice, and score above the cut-off mark stipulated by the Academy before they can be considered for Admission. 
2. UTME Subjects Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Geography
3. Screening/Aptitude Test: Candidates are subjected to Screening Exercise/Aptitude Test as may from time to time be decided by the Management/Regulatory Authority.
4. Candidates must pass Medical Test and Physical Fitness before he/she can be considered for admission.
5. O'Level: Five (5) credit passes at O/Level (WASC, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, etc.) including English Language Mathematics, Physics, Geography, and And any other two(2) subjects from Chemistry, Biology, etc in not more than two (2) sittings.
6. Age Limit: Candidates should not be more than 21 years old at the time of admission and shall be single and remain single throughout the duration of the programme.

National Diploma (ND) in Marine Engineering

Entry Requirement

1. Candidates must sit for Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)/Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), Choose the Academy as 1st Choice and score above the cut-off mark stipulated by the Academy before they can be considered for Admission.
2. UTME Subjects Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
3. Screening/Aptitude Test: Candidates are subjected to Screening Exercise/Aptitude Test as may from time to time be decided by the Management/Regulatory Authority.
4. Candidates must pass Medical Test and Physical Fitness before he/she can be considered for admission.
5. O'Level: Five (5) credit passes at O/Level (WASC, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, etc.) including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry any two of Geography, Technical Drawing and Biology in not more than two (2) sittings.

National Diploma (ND) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Entry Requirement

1. Candidates must sit for Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)/Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), Choose the Academy as 1st Choice and score above the cut-off mark stipulated by the Academy before they can be considered for Admission.
2. Subjects Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
3. Screening/Aptitude Test: Candidates are subjected to Screening Exercise/Aptitude Test as may from time to time be decided by the Management/Regulatory Authority.
4. Candidates must pass Medical Test and Physical Fitness before he/she can be considered for admission.
5. O'Level: Five (5) credit passes at O/Level (WASC, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, etc.) including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry any two of Geography, Technical Drawing and Chemistry in not more than two (2) sittings.

National Diploma in Maritime Transport and Business Studies

Entry Requirement

1. Candidates must sit for Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)/Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), Choose the Academy as 1st Choice and score above the cut-off mark stipulated by the Academy before they can be considered for Admission.
2. UTME Subjects Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Economics any of Commerce, Government, Financial Accounting or Business Management
3. Screening/Aptitude Test:: Candidates are subjected to a screening exercise/Aptitude Tests as may from time to time be decided by the Management/Regulatory Authority.
4. Candidates must pass Medical Test and Physical Fitness before he/she can be considered for admission.
5. O Level: Five (5) credit passes at O/Level (WASC, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, etc.) including English Language Mathematics, Economics, Any other two (2) from Commerce, Government, Principles of Account, Business Management, etc in not more than two (2) sittings.
6. Age Limit: Candidates should not be more than 25 years old at the time of admission and shall be single and remain single throughout the duration of the programme.

NOTE

1. After completing your ND, kindly obtain your HND from the school or any other Maritime school. 
2. You can also obtain the JAMB Direct Entry Form to pursue a degree course at the university.
