Some of such activities or needs, to visit a JAMB office, include, registration for UTME/DE, application for regularization, JAMB part-time registration, corrections or change of names, date of birth, local government, and state.
There can be other related issues that may be beyond the handling of local cafes and CBT centers.
However, candidates visiting JAMB offices are now asking if it's compulsory to wear nose covers or face masks.
They want to be sure before they get to the offices as this has been heard among friends and probably in the news.
In this post, I want to answer the question if it's compulsory to wear a nose cover or face mask or take along your COVID-19 vaccination card before you can be allowed into a JAMB office and attended to.

JAMB Insists Candidates Visiting Its Branches Must Observe Covid-19 Protocols
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board makes it compulsory for candidates coming to any of its offices to be sure they're ready to observe the COVID-19 protocols.
There're three main COVID-19 protocols expected of any visitor to the board's offices:
- wearing the nose cover/face mask
- be with their COVID-19 vaccination cards and,
- social distancing
The first two, are more obvious and must be presented before being allowed into the promises and attended to.
In line with this entry protocol, staff and visitors or clients are to present acceptable evidence which is: a COVID-19 Vaccination Card, any identification card connecting the holder to the vaccination card, preferably the National Identity Card; Driver's License or International Passport. This stipulation is to ensure, among others, that staff or visitors do not present vaccination cards that belong to other individuals.
In the past few months and since the official announcement of this, the board had been watched, taking its position on this, seriously.

What If I Don't Have My Vaccination Card or I Have Not Taken It?
With nose cover accessibility everywhere and with an easy way of observing social distancing, candidates want to know what will happen if they can't present their vaccination cards at the offices.
COVID-19 card is the primary requirement to visit JAMB offices. And if you're not with that, whether you've not taken it or you forgot that home, you wouldn't be attended to until you're back with it.
Without the nose cover, you can just check the entrance for people selling that. However, the vaccination can only be taken at approved primary health-care centers nationwide.
Do I Need the Two COVID-19 Vaccination Jabs Before Being Accepted
We're all aware that the Covid-19 vaccination is a two-time jab. In other words, the vaccination is twice.
If you've taken just the first one, will they accept that at the JAMB office? Or you must have the record of taking the two before you can be attended to?
As a matter of fact, there is the need to take the two jabs before you can be attended to. The first jab is not enough. The board wants the evidence of the two to show on your COVID-19 vaccination card.
This is evident in the statement, where the boards, use the word "full".
In line with the extant protocols rolled out by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has resolved that no staff and visitors alike would be allowed entry into its offices nationwide without evidence of "full" vaccination.
With this statement, only candidates and visitors with the two shots should have no reason to worry while visiting the JAMB offices.
