Can I Use Awaiting Result For FUOYE Screening?

When it's time to fill out the post-UTME form, or the screening form, so to say, of the Federal University Oye Ekiti, candidates who want to use awaiting results will be thrown into confusion.

They're confused because the university uses the screening method which means it admits students specifically with their SSCE grades and JAMB score. But when the O'level results are not yet realized won't that deprive of admission? 

Is there a way to still register for the FUOYE screening with awaiting results? Or what do they expect the awaiting results candidates to do?

FUOYE Allows You To Obtain Its Screening Form With Awaiting Results

Just like any other school, the Federal University of Oye Ekiti accepts candidates who are willing to use awaiting results for its admission.

Of course, generally, WAEC and NECO results are to meet up with the admission year of all universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. Tough GCE NECO or WAEC might still work for some schools, results that are certain to meet up are the WAEC May/June and NECO Jun/July.

So, basically, FUOYE has no choice but to let all the candidates who have made their decision, even if they're waiting for their results, take part in the screening.

But How Will You Fill Grades Since No AR In The Options

In fact, the last stage of the FUOYE screening form is where you'll choose the O'level type, (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB), Exam number, and year of the exam. Then, you'll supply the PIN or token to fetch your result and grades.

But with awaiting results, this information might not be available yet. Even if you have the exam number and the PIN/token to check, you don't have any results to fetch yet (since the result is not yet released).

In your own case, during the registration, you'll have that stage unfilled. It will remain open until you have your results. Then, you'll return to the portal to update those result details, finalize the registration, submit, and print.

But The Closing Date Is Earlier Than When Results Will Be Out

That's right. The university portal for the screening will be closed before the time your WAEC or NECO results will be out. So, will it meet up with their admission?

Well, luckily for you, in the past, the university would close the portal as the time announced except there can be a few extensions. Yet, they will reopen the portal only for those who have started their registration but stopped at the O'level upload stage.

They'll allow you within a few days after the results are released to visit your portal, fill in the required O'level subjects and grades, and submit finally.

Then, you can print your own registration slip for reference.

Conclusion

FUOYE is motherly and lenient with candidates that are using awaiting results. You must start the registration when the portal is opened but you won't be able to submit finally until you update the portal with our results.

However, if the portal is closed earlier than the release of your results, you don't have to panic. The management will reopen the portal not for all but strictly for those who are using awaiting results and have initiated their registration to the O'level stage before.
