When Will FUOYE's Admission Lists Be Out: (1st, 2nd & 3rd)?

After the university's online screening, we both know there won't be any exams. Contrary to whatever you might have read or heard, FUOYE only uses online screening to admit its applicants. With that, the decision of whether to offer you admission or otherwise will be placed on your SSCE results (grades) and JAMB score - all other things being equal.

However, candidates want to know when precisely the school admission lists will be out. They want to be sure when they should expect the first batch. And if that was earlier out when to expect the second, third, and possible supplementary lists?

Well, in this post, we get to chat.

FOUYE Releases Its Admission Lists Based Calendars and Logistics

That may be a bit confusing. Let me explain.

FUOYE, like any other university, will release its admission lists based on the speed of its calendar and certain logistics which may hasten or delay things. For example, if the activities of the school are not disrupted by union strikes (usual ASUU wahala), you can be sure that the admission lists will be released in due course especially as instructed by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Similarly, if the management does not have any internal issues - delaying exams of the existing students, projects of final year students, SIWES of 300 level, its admission lists should be out sooner enough.

Generally, it's will reasonable to expect the university to release its first batch of admission lists about two months after the closure of its admission screening. Without that time, it will carry out a series of activities and release the list eventually. More, on this in my post "How Long to Wait for a School Admission List?".

2nd, 3rd, and Supplementary Lists Come in Weeks Interval

FUOYE's second batch admission list will likely come a month after the first batch. The management gives the first set of their admitted aspirants time to change to a transferred course on the JAMB portal (if any), pay the acceptance fee, and do some printing before they release the second list.

It's based on the turnout of the first batch candidates in the payment of the acceptance fee that the management will use to determine the number of students to go for in batches 2, 3, and supplementary.

A point to note here is that FUOYE's first batch, from experience, is the only list that is certainly on merit. Once your name comes out in the first admission list, you're sure to have met the admission requirements of the school or your department on a 100% basis. Otherwise, candidates who expect the 2nd, 3rd, or supplementary lists will have to know real people within the management which may help especially for competitive courses such as Mass Communication, Law, Pharmacy, Nursing, etc.

I'd advise if your name is not on the first and second list, and you don't know a real management member who can lend a helping hand, kindly forget FUOYE and change to any school you'll be accepted with your school. Just my little advice!

As for the specific dates to expect the lists, there is no way to say but we can safely say you should expect as following:

  1. First Batch: September - October
  2. 2nd Batch: November
  3. 3r Batch: December
  4. Supplementary: January - February

How To Check If You're Being Offered Admission

You're to be offered admission on both the school and  JAMB portal. Of course, I expect you to be already familiar with how to check the FUOYE admission list. In case, you don't or you've been doing a few things wrongly, kindly follow the procedures below.

Checking on the JAMB Portal

To check your FUOYE admission status on the JAMB portal:

  1. Visit the JAMB e-facility or click https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/Login
  2. Log in with your linked email and password received from JAMB or change to
  3. Navigate to "Check Admission Status". Click on that to open "Admission Status"
  4. Now, choose the correct year and click "Access My CAPS". You may need to change your browser to desktop view at this stage before you can see things completely
  5. Now, click on the link "Admission status". If already offered, accept. Otherwise, check back later.

Check on the FUOYE Admission Portal

  1. Visit the admission portal or https://ecampus.fuoye.edu.ng/putme
  2. Log in with your JAMB registration number
  3. On your dashboard, locate and click on "Check Admission Status"
  4. If offered, proceed to accept. Otherwise, check back later.

Conclusion

You can't be given the specific dates to expect FUOYE to release its lists. As a matter of fact, a lecturer, even the VC, can't answer that, Surprised?

Well, that is the normal thing. The decision to release admission lists and when each batch will be out is in the hands of the admission committee of that school. In fact, they won't know that date ahead until the next sitting and conclusion at such a meeting.

This post is a product of past experience with university admission activities. It's not expected to have a major change this year (if any at all).
