Does FUOYE Accept 2nd Choice Candidates? Updated!

Well, JAMB may allow you to choose four schools in JAMB with universities possible in the first and second choice positions. But will FUOYE consider second-choice candidates?

FUOYE Second Choice Candidates Won't Be Able to Apply for Its Screening

If you've chosen the Federal University Oye Ekiti as your second choice institution, or you're considering changing to it as the second choice, you won't be able to apply when to the university when its screening form is finally out.

But why?

When the university is set to open its portal for the screening exercise, it only requests JAMB to send the list of candidates that choose it as the FIRST CHOICE institution. And with the nature of the application process of the university, candidates will start their application by logging in with their JAMB registration number. Only the candidates collected from JAMB will be able to log in with their JAMB registration number.

By that time, if FUOYE is still in your second-choice position, you won't be able to log in. In fact, you will be repelled with the error "Invalid Access Credentials". In short, it means you're not (yet) in the university's database as the first-choice candidate.

FUOYE Won't Admit You As a Second Choice Candidate

Apparently, if you won't be allowed to obtain its screening form because you choose it as the second choice institution, you won't be hopeful for its admission too. After all, we both know that only those who participate in a school online post-UTME/screening registration will eventually be admitted, all things being equal.

So, you should not expect the university to offer you admission if you don't consider it as a first choice during the UTME or DE registration or if you don't change it to the first choice later.

In short, FUOYE screening is only for the first choice candidates so also is its admission!
