When choosing schools in JAMB UTME or for Direct Entry, aspirants may want to know, before making the final decision, whether Adeyemi University/College will conduct exams i.e. post-UTME when the time comes or they should just expect to be screened. Also, when considering changing institutions and courses, candidates want to be sure before they jump in.

In other words, admission seekers want to know if Adeyemi adopts the post-UTME method or the screening method in considering aspirants for admissions.

Adeyemi University/College of Education Doesn't Conduct Post-UTME

For some years now, this federal university/college has not been conducting any entrance exams for its aspirants. The university instead uses the screening method in deciding who qualifies to fill up its admission lists and classes.

Adeyemi University/College of Education, Ondo runs two major institutions under its umbrella. The citadel of learning is a university and, at the same time a college of education. Hence, it runs both Degree and NCE programs.

Before now, the degree program is affiliated with the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. But since its approval and upgrade to a university, it's now recognized as a university. Hence, aspirants can seek either NCE or BSC programs in the school.

The Nature of Adeyemi University/College of Education Screening

Below is a preview of how the university will conduct its screening for all intending candidates.

  1. After the JAMB results are released, the university will announce on its official admission website, the sales of the screening form.
  2. You're expected to register for this screening form online after making the right payment as stated on the portal - usually N2000.
  3. During the online screening registration, you're to fill in all your bio-data and scan and upload some documents including the O'level results, Birth Certificate, JAMB result, Local Government Identification, etc.
  4. After submitting the online screening application, you'll be required to print a confirmation of your successful application form. You will need this after being admitted.
  5. Immediately or a few weeks after, the school will update its portal for candidates to reprint the application form. This time, the newly printed application form will show the screening result, which has been calculated by the system, based on the O'level subjects, grades, and UTME score filled and submitted earlier.
  6. You're to print that and keep it for the fresher physical screening and documentation if offered admission eventually.
  7. After a few weeks, they will shortlist the qualified and admitted candidates who will be required to make payment of the acceptance fee online.
  8. The same candidates should be able to follow their admission through the JAMB CAPS. When offered on the JAMB portal too, you should accept and print the admission letters which will be asked for when you get to school.
  9. After this, candidates are to go to school, with all their payment receipts, application printouts, and other credentials for the physical screening at their individual departments.
  10. After this, you'll be cleared to pay the school fee and resume lectures.

Conclusion

The procedures above concern both the UTME and DE applicants. DE candidates won't do UTME but will fill out their screening forms when the time comes. Every other thing remains the same.

Wishing you luck!
