Admission: JAMB and School Course Not the Same. Help!

Some students have just been offered admission by JAMB, but the courses were different from the ones offered by the school. Some are in their 100-level or 200-level but now realize the courses offered by the schools are different from the one offered by JAMB.

In some cases, some students realize right after graduation that the courses they did in schools were different from the one JAMB offered them on the JAMB portal. This is equally similar to those who entered universities with certain courses but later changed to others later during the program.

All You Need is the Change of Admission

What has happened in all the cases above was just mere changing of your admission from one course to the other. Don't mistake a change of admission with a change of course. Of course, while the former is for those whose courses were changed while already in school, the latter affects those who are just seeking admission and need to change their courses before being offered admission.

So, if you're almost a graduate with a different course from what is on your JAMB portal or JAMB admission letter, go for the change of admission. Similarly, if your university transfers you from one department you've entered with to another, you'll need the same.

How to Do the Change of Admission

To change your admission, visit the nearest JAMB office. Request to change your admission. This will cost about N3500. This guide was equally shared by JAMB when an affected student reported his situation.

JAMB's reply,

Please visit any JAMB office nearby to apply for a change of admission letter.

Getting to the JAMB office, you'll be required to provide your former JAMB admission letter (if you have it available). Else, they may need to access your JAMB portal to see the status on the portal.

Finally, they will change your admission to the one you studied in school.
