7 Methods to Get Back Deleted or Lost JAMB PIN

JAMB logo
Given the recent ability for candidates to independently obtain their JAMB UTME/DE PIN, instances of accidental deletion or misplacement have become more prevalent. Some individuals may lose the printed PIN provided by cafes, while others may encounter issues with SMS delivery following successful payment. In situations like these, there are several methods available to recover the JAMB PIN.

Use SMS Method To Get Back Your JAMB PIN

The most straightforward approach to retrieve the PIN is through a text message. To initiate this process, send "UTMEPIN" to either 55019 or 66019, depending on the short code utilized for obtaining your profile code.

This method has been officially shared and was recommended when a frustrated student reported not receiving the PIN despite completing the payment process. JAMB guided these individuals to send the specified SMS with relevant details, including the profile code and transaction number.

Example: Kindly send UTMEPIN to 55019 or 66019, depending on the short code used to generate your profile code, using the same phone number.

Other Methods To Get Your JAMB PIN Back

If you find yourself without the PIN after payment, or if the SMS containing the PIN is lost, alternative methods can be employed based on the platform used for PIN acquisition:

  1. Remita Platform: If the PIN was purchased on the Remita platform, address a complaint email to Remita support at [email protected]. Provide essential transaction details such as the date, amount paid, type of PIN (with or without mock), and quote the first 6 and last 4 digits of the card number used.
  2. JAMB Portal (https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/login): If the PIN was acquired through the JAMB portal, visit the link https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/CandPay/InitPay. Select the "Retrieve PIN" option, enter your profile code, and click on "Get Details." If the PIN does not display, copy the transaction ID from the bank debit alert message and input it into the query link (https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/querypayment). Click "Query Payments" and return to the "Retrieve PIN" option.
  3. Quickteller: For PINs obtained through Quickteller, send the necessary information to their customer care email at support@interswitchgroup. Alternatively, follow the procedure outlined in point 2 above.
  4. Jumia: If the PIN was purchased on Jumia, contact their support team through [email protected].
  5. Other platforms: Contact the customer care for help too. In most cases, you will be sent the evidence of you payment containing the PIN or received an email containing the PIN
By following these structured methods, candidates can efficiently recover their JAMB PIN, ensuring a smoother application process.
