This is a serious case. A few readers had been asking if they accept admission a year, will they still be offered spaces if they write JAMB UTME or seek DE admission again. That is - after accepting the last admission, will you be offered a new year admission?
Let me break this down.
Let’s say you’re offered admission last year. But you’re not satisfied with the course given or you want to try a better/another course in the new admission year, won’t you be deprived of the admission if CAPS shows you’d already accepted admission in the previous year?

There's No Problem if Admission Already Accepted Last Year Admission
Starting from 2021/2022, candidates seeking admissions, even though already been offered admissions will not have any issue in gaining new admissions.
Of course, you may be thinking that because your JAMB profile had already shown that you're once admitted and you're in a school, you may not be offered another admission or given a new admission.
That's wrong!
Being admitted before or right now in a school doesn't stop you from being offered your new chase. In fact, if your JAMB CAPS is showing not yet offered admission, the reason is never that you had once accepted one offer. It may be one of the reasons detailed here.

But the Purpose of JAMB CAPS is to Discourage Double Admissions?
The very reason JAMB was established is to administer the admissions processes and disallow a candidate from being offered two or more admissions in a year while others are still left home unfavored.
Hence, in the past, if you’d been offered admission by a school and accepted that on CAPS, you might not be offered admission through the same profile again.
In other words, before 2021/2022, if you used the same profile for last year, you might be out of luck for a new admission since you'd already accepted the offer of one school.

Starting from 2021/2022, JAMB introduced the use of NIN to procure JAMB profile code which, in turn, would be used to buy JAMB UTME/DE PIN. Henceforth, admission seekers are tied to the same profile. This resets the profile every year for candidates to use their old profiles for the new year whether they like that or not since NIN can't be changed and subsequently, the profile code can't be changed.
To help differentiate the last profile or JAMB account from the new profile, the JAMB portal will allow candidates to choose the current year in a drop-down. This will then load the details for the new year. And if you care to see details for the last year, you will just pick the right year to load the corresponding details.
You Will Be Offered Admission With the Same Profile
With the explanation above, you’ll agree with me that you will still be offered admission to another school if you use the same NIN, profile code, or JAMB profile
Whether admission seekers like it or not, they will have no other choice than to use the same NINs to get the JAMB profile codes which, in turn, will tie them to the old profiles.
And the JAMB system already understands this. Hence, if you've accepted admission and still want to seek admission for the new year, the system will open new year admission details when you choose the correct year.

Good morning sir our educational instructor. Please, I have accepted the 2021 admission, as well as started attending lectures in my current school. But now, I want to check my 2022 jambs caps, but it's still showing me my 2021 details after selecting 2022.
