DE Applicants: How to Check NIPED Status

JAMB will independently verify your Direct Entry application results or certificates by contacting your school, and you can check if JAMB has verified your result by logging into your JAMB portal, navigating to the "Check NIPED Status" section, and reviewing the displayed message which will confirm whether your results have been verified and cleared, thus indicating your eligibility for Direct Entry admission into your chosen institution.

As you all know, JAMB will verify your result or certificate claimed during the Direct Entry application, and of course, you don't have control over this. JAMB will directly contact your school for the verification, and that's all. It's now your school's responsibility to attest to the authenticity of your result.

But how will you know if JAMB has really verified your result? Is there a link or page to check such verification?

In this post, I will be sharing the step-by-step guide to check if your school has been contacted by JAMB and if the result is verified.

Step 1: Login to Your JAMB Portal

As a DE applicant, you also have a JAMB portal to follow the progress of your admission. This portal has been made active for you right from the time you registered for DE or when you did UTME to DE conversion.

1. Visit https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/Home
2. Log in with your JAMB email and the password you received for your JAMB portal.

Step 2: Navigate to "Check NIPED Status"

After logging in to your JAMB CAPS, you should be on a wide dashboard. There, there are links and boards to click through. This time, click on the link "Check NIPED Status."

That should be the last link on your dashboard or somewhere close to the last part of the page.

Step 3: Confirm the Verification Through the Message

At the other end, you should be able to see if you have been verified by JAMB/school. A message should appear as below if already verified.

A-Level Results Verification Status...

Dear XXXXX,

Congratulations, your Direct Entry A-Level Qualification Results have been Verified and Cleared.

This signals your eligibility to be processed for Direct Entry Admission into your desired institution.
