UNILAG Vs UNIBEN, Which is Better?

From time, there has been a war between students of different universities. One such competition was recently between UNILAG and UNIBEN guys.

A tweet got my attention back in 2020 when a UNILAG student (supposed) was catching fun with UNIBEN.

A reply to this tweet should be coming from a UNIBEN guy or someone who cared for UNIBEN

And if you've come across some rankings, comparing schools, you might have been misled or convinced that one was better than the other.

But for real, is UNILAG better than UNIBEN?

In this post, I'll be comparing the University of Lagos with the University of Benin, using fair backgrounds. More likely, in the end, you'll be in a position to decide which is better.

  5. Student Population: UNILAG has a larger student population than UNIBEN, with over 50,000 students enrolled in various programs. UNIBEN, on the other hand, has a student population of around 40,000.
  6. However, the admission cut-off marks for different programs may vary depending on the competitiveness of the program.
  7. Tuition Fees: The tuition fees for both universities vary depending on the program of study. However, in general, UNILAG is more expensive than UNIBEN.
  8. Faculty: Both universities have highly qualified faculty members with extensive academic and research experience. UNILAG has over 1,500 academic staff, while UNIBEN has over 2,000 academic staff.
  9. Research and Innovation: Both universities are actively involved in research and innovation, with numerous research centers and institutes. UNILAG has a stronger research output, with a higher number of research publications and citations.
  10. Student Life: Both universities have vibrant student communities with numerous clubs, societies, and events. UNILAG has a more diverse student population, with students from different parts of Nigeria and other countries
