Candidates interested in Theatre, dramatic, or performing Arts are asking which college of education they can consider for the course while register for the JAMB UTME or proposing changes of institutions and courses.

In case you don't know, I've dedicated a separate post to the list of universities offering Theatre Arts earlier. You should take a look if you prefer studying this at a university instead.

On the other hand, I'd answered the question of whether polytechnics are offering Theatre Art in another post, "Are Polytechnics Offering Theatre/Performing Arts in Nigeria".

In this post, I will be helping you with the list of colleges of education that offer Performing Arts. But if I have to go by the list, it will take not less than 5000 words or an hour-read.

I don't want to waste your time. Hence, I will approach this topic in a much more friendly manner.

Colleges of Education Offers Theatre Arts But Usually as a Double Major

In the university, they call this, Theatre Arts, Performing Arts, Film Arts, Drama or Dramatic Arts, etc. Whereas in the college of education, it's combined with another course. Just as for all courses in the college of education. Hence, below is the list of variances of Theatre Arts in the college and the list of schools offering them.

Since colleges of educations are meant to groom and produce teachers who are capable of taking classes at both the primary and secondary level of our schooling, a graduate of NCE will be able to take Theatre Arts together with the primary or secondary as indicated in the courses above.

If interested, an NCE holder can cross to the university for any of the two majors through Direct Entry admissions. Hence, after your NCE in any of the theatre courses above, you can further to Theatre/Performing Arts at any university of your choice.
