About BOWEN University School of Nursing
School of Nursing Bowen University Teaching Hospital Ogbomoso is a private-owned college of Nursing situated at Plot 4, Ilorin – Ogbomoso Road, Ogbomoso. Oyo State, Nigeria. The School is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
The School of Nursing Ogbomoso is an agency of the Nigerian Baptist Convention and an integral part of the formal Baptist Medical Centre now Bowen University Teaching Hospital Ogbomoso.
The college is aimed at preparing young men and women as beginning professionals in the field of nursing, only students who complete the three-year course are prepared to sit for the Final Examination of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and upon their success in this examination are eligible for registration as QUALIFIED NURSES.
2024/2025 Admission Exercises into 3-Year Basic Nursing Program
BOWEN School of Nursing hereby invites Male and Female candidates who have successfully completed the Senior Secondary School education are qualified to purchase the form:
- with credit in at least five (5) subjects, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at not more than two sittings, in Examinations conducted by either of the three accredited SSCE examination boards i.e. NECO, NABTEB, and WAEC (GCE)
- Applicants must not be less than 16 years old at the time of admission
- Candidates don't need JAMB UTME to obtain the form as the School of Nursing is not using UTME score
BOWEN School of Nursing Method of Application and Payment
Interested applicants should make payment as a step below. Then, proceed with the online registration after the payment.
- Application Forms can be obtained Online. via CONO portal
- Proceed to make a non-refundable payment of twenty thousand Naira (N20,000.00) excluding bank charges to: Account Number: 0124181421, Bank Name: Wema Bank, Account name: College of Nursing, Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso

Further registration steps,
- Make the payment only to the College Bank Account (avoid using of third party)
- Visit https://cono.buth.edu.ng/
- On the next, supply the payment details and upload the payment receipt in jpg/jpeg/PNG (size: 40 - 50kb)
- Click on the Submit Button and use the generated password & email to log in and continue your registration while waiting for the payment to be verified by the school account officers
- Upload recent Passport within the size range 15 - 25kB Max, only JPEG format
- Fields that are important are marked with *
- Fill your Bio-data, School Attended, and your O'level Results, (5 Science Subjects at Credit level, Maximum of 2 Sittings) while UTME is optional
- Click on Submit to take you to the Dashboard 𝑁𝑜𝑡𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑐𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑎 𝑎𝑓𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑠𝑢𝑏𝑚𝑖𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛
- Contact the System Administrator for any correction (terms and conditions may apply)
- On the Dashboard print the Form, Payment Receipt, Examination Slip, and Attestation Slip (YOUR PAYMENT MUST BE VERIFIED BEFORE HAVING ACCESS TO THE PRINT OUTS)
- The Attestation slip should be filled with the pen either by Your Religious Leader, School Principal, or Any Clergy (Not Family)
After The Online Registration, What Next?
The following must be submitted to the school secretary at the principal office on or before the entrance examination date.
- The Student application form (1 Copy)
- Examination slip (2 Copies)
- Attestation slip that has been well filled with BLACK OR BLUE PEN (1 Copy)
- Payment Receipt from the School Portal

Private is not as competitive as federal and state. And they may give offers more on merit than their federal and state counterparts.
