Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Nursing Training Programme at the Lagos State College of Nursing (LASCON) Igando, Alimosho LGA, Lagos. Application commences Monday, 1st July 2024, and closes Friday, 30th August 2024.
This is a 5-year non-terminal Nursing Programme to obtain Academic and Professional Certificates (NET/RN/RM/PHN).
The Lagos State College of Nursing (LASCON) has started running ND/HND in Nursing. As a result, it has joined the league of schools and colleges of Nursing that are asking for JAMB UTME before an aspirant can be qualified to apply.
Prospective candidates seeking admission into the Lagos State College of Nursing (LASCON), Igando, will be required to sit for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) entrance examination to gain entry into the college.
Lagos State College of Nursing (LASCON) Admission Requirements and Eligibility
- Applicants must register for the current year's JAMB UTME and choose Lagos State College of Nursing (LASCON) as their first choice institution.
- Candidates must have scored 200 and above in the just concluded JAMB and chosen the Lagos State College of Nursing as their First Choice.
- WASSCE/NECO (O Level): Candidates must have at least a credit in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry in not more than two (2) sittings.
- However, candidates who didn't make the college their first choice, during the JAMB registrations, can now change to the college and make it the first choices
- Candidates must also have chosen and written English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in the UTME
- Candidates must equally possess WASSCE, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB (O’level) with credit in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry at not more than two (2) sittings.
- Candidates must be at least 17 years old by March 2024
Lagos State College of Nursing Igando Method of Application and Payment
Proceed online to www.lascon.edu.ng.
Click on the Course menu then click on Apply.
Create a new application account by filling in the following details as requested: Surname, First name, Select Course, Email address, Phone number, and JAMB registration number.
Then click on "Submit". A confirmation mail will be sent to the email provided; ensure a valid email is provided. The confirmation mail will contain a payment link, your Admission Number, and password.
Click on the link in step 4. A payment page will load.
Application Fee: Make payment of a Non-refundable fee of ₦15,000 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) only. Select your method of payment (e.g., Paystack or Voucher). Select Voucher if you've already purchased a voucher from the institution; otherwise, select Paystack. After payment, you will receive your application number and password via email.
Go to the Continue Application page on your browser. Log in using your Application Number and Password. This will take you to the "Applicant Information" page where you are required to fill in the following:
i. Demographic information
ii. Address information
iii. Cleared details (click on skip)
iv. Parents/Guardian/Sponsor Details
v. Upload passport (not more than 100kb)
vi. Upload Documents
vii. Change password
viii. Lock details
Having filled in all the required details above, click on the submit button and sign out.
Print out your Applicant Information Form. Only applicants with the form will be allowed to write the Computer-Assisted Screening Examination (CAS).

- The Computer-Assisted Screening date is Saturday, 31st August 2024, at 8:00 am.
- Venue: LASCON Premises (inside Alimosho General Hospital, Igondo).
- The examination is Computer-Based Testing and questions will cover English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Current Affairs.
Note:
- The program is residential for students and there are no cooking facilities.
- Accommodation arrangements are available on a first-come, first-served basis during the CAS, limited spaces available.
