LAUTECH Degree Part-Time Form (2023): Portal, Fee, Closing Date

This is to inform the general public, interested candidates, and sponsors, that Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso application/admission form for the degree part-time form is now on sale - closing 31-05-2023 (if not extended)


LAUTECH part-time programme is a five-year course for candidates with SSCE seeking admissions into the 100 level of their desired courses. The same programme is a four-year course for the candidates with ND and NCE who wish to pursue degrees in their desired courses starting from the 200 level. Whereas, applicants with BSC or HND (Top-Up Degree) will start their courses at the 300 level thereby spending three years for their desired course.


All academic programmes advertised are run on a Part-Time basis In LAUTECH Main Campus, Ogbomoso, and at the University’s College of Health Sciences (Mercy Land), Osogbo, i.e. on weekends only (Fridays, Saturdays, and sometimes on Sunday).

LAUTECH Part-Time Courses and Admission Requirements 

Whether you're seeking admission as an SSCE holder, ND or NCE holder, HND or BSC holder, the courses available are almost the same. However, the requirements are different. Below are what you should check considering your own qualifications and course of interest.

List of LAUTECH PT Courses (5 Years) for SSCE Holders and Requirements

  1. Accounting (B.Sc)
  2. Transport Management (B.Sc)
  3. Marketing ((B.Sc)
  4. Computer Science ((B.Sc)
  5. Science Laboratory Technology ((B.Sc)
  6. Pure and Applied Biology (with specialization in Environmental Health and Biosafety) ((B.Sc)

Admission Requirements for (1) - (3)

  1. Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two other relevant subjects
  2. Commerce may be acceptable in place of Economics for B.Sc. Accounting and Geography for in place of Economics Transport Management.

Admission Requirements for (4) - (5)

Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science/Technical Drawing and any other Social Science subject.

    Admission Requirements for (1) - (3)

    1. Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two other relevant subjects

    3. In addition to the ‘O Level qualification(s), candidates must have at least N.C.E./National Diploma with Lower Credit in relevant disciplines from a recognized College of Education/Polytechnic.

    Admission Requirements for (4) - (5)

    1. Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science/Technical Drawing and any other Social Science subject.


      In addition to the ‘O Level qualification(s), candidates must have any of the following depending on the programme applied for:

      1. Good passes at Advance Level of GCE (WAEC) (or equivalent) in Pure Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or the Combined Pure and Applied Mathematics and Physics; and any other subjects from the following: Chemistry, Biology, Economics and Geography;
      2. National Diploma with Upper Credit in Computer Science or Computer Engineering/Technology and University Diploma of LAUTECH and any other relevant discipline from a recognized Polytechnic;
      3. Passes in Intermediate Level of Computer Professionals (Registration) Council of Nigeria or any other recognized Professional Bodies; other Science-Based
      4. Third Class/Pass Degree (BSC) or Pass Higher National Diploma (HND) in a Science-based discipline may also be considered for admission.
      5. National Diploma with Lower Credit in Science Laboratory Technology from a recognized Polytechnic is acceptable in addition to SSCE requirements
      6. G.C.E. “A” level passes a minimum of two in any of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
      7. Ordinary National Diploma in Environmental Health Biosafety and other related Science-based courses, Upper Credit or NCE Biology/Chemistry, Integrated Science, Health Education, Physics and other related based courses (not lower than Credit) or Ordinary National Diploma for Public Health Superintendents (Awarded by WAEHEB).

      LAUTECH Part-Time Courses (3 Years) for HND and BSC Holders

      1. Accounting (B.Sc)
      2. Transport Management (B.Sc)
      3. Marketing (B.Sc)
      4. Computer Science (B.Sc)
      5. Science Laboratory Technology (B.Sc)
      6. Pure and Applied Biology (Environmental Health and Biosafety) (B.Sc)
      7. B.Tech Architecture (B.Sc)

      Admission Requirements for (1) - (3)

      1. Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two other relevant subjects
      2. Commerce may be acceptable in place of Economics for B.Sc. Accounting and Geography for in place of Economics Transport Management.

      In addition to the ‘O Level qualification(s), candidates must have any of the following depending on the programme applied for:

        1. HND Upper Credit in relevant disciplines
        2. HND lower Credit plus relevant Professional Qualifications.

        Admission Requirements for (4)

        1. Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science/Technical Drawing and any other Social Science subject.


          In addition to the ‘O Level requirements stated for above; applicants must also possess any of the following:

          1. Higher National Diploma (HND) from recognized Polytechnics with a minimum of Lower Credit in Computer Science or Computer Engineering/Technology or any other relevant disciplines may also be considered.
          2. Passes in final level (the equivalent of full membership) of Computer Professionals (Registration) Council of Nigeria or any other recognized professional bodies.

          Admission Requirements for (5)

          1. Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science/Technical Drawing and any other Social Science subject.


            Applicants must also possess the following:

            1. Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology, Fisheries Technology, Animal Science, Health Technology, and other Science-based related discipline with at least Lower Credit. Professional Registration will be an added advantage.

            Admission Requirements for (6)

            1. Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science/Technical Drawing and any other Social Science subject.

            In addition, candidates should possess any of the following qualifications:
            1. HND National Diploma in Environmental Health, Fisheries Technology, and other Science-based related courses with at least Lower Credit. 
            2. Royal Society Diploma for Public Health Inspectors.
            3. Health Superintendents (Awarded by WAEHEB).

            Admission Requirements for (7)

            1. Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science/Technical Drawing and any other Social Science subject.


            In addition,

            1. For Direct Entry to 300 Level, a candidate who fulfills SSCE requirements and in addition holds an HND certificate at credit level in Architectural Technology may be considered for admission into 300 level.
            2. For Transfer Admission, a candidate wishing to transfer from another school of Architecture for some good reasons may be considered for absorption to an appropriate level determined by the Department. Any deficiencies in the candidate’s background should be rectified by taking appropriate courses.
            3. Degrees Being Awarded: The department of Architecture offers a to-tier professional degree programme. Under the first tier, the student’s programme will lead to a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in Architecture, and the second tier of a minimum of 2-year or 4-semester duration leading to a Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Architecture.

            LAUTECH Part-Time Degree Method of Application and Payment

            1. Prospective applicants should visit the Part-Time Application Portal or click https://apply.lautech.edu.ng/
            2. Applicants are expected to register on the University website; www.lautech.edu.ng by completing and submitting the online application form and their e-mail address, on the payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten thousand Naira (N10,300:00) only.
            3. To complete the online application form, candidates are required to upload their scanned passport photograph with white background showing ears, no cap, and no glasses. The scanned passport photograph must be in JPEG (i.e. jpg) and must not be more than 20kb. 
            4. On submission of the application form, candidates are to print out the Referee Form and an acknowledgment page which will give them access to the venue of the Entrance Examination.
            5. All applications must be completed and submitted online within six weeks from the date of this advertisement.

            What Next After Applying For LAUTECH Part-Time Courses?

            1. Applicants are to wait for the school notification of admission through SMS, Email, and regular checking of their admission status through their application portal
            2. After being offered admission, you're to make the payment for the acceptance fee. The acceptance fee is #34,700.00
            3. Once the acceptance fee is paid, the school payment will be opened for you. The tuition, which can be paid twice equally is #100,000.00 excluding the #300 online transaction charges
            4. Before paying the tuition, you're expected to report to the school for a physical screening of your documents. It's after the clearance that you should pay the school fee
            5. After this, classes will start
