Can I Use NABTEB for Jobs: Police, Army, Navy, Airforce, Custom?

NABTEB Logo
If you mean; can you use the NABTEB result to apply for Nigerian force forms?, the answer is YES.

NABTEB is widely used and acceptable for any government job or recruitment in Nigeria.
Just like its equivalence; WAEC, NECO, and GCE, holders of this result can apply for any force, agency, or parastatals positions.

Nigerian Police Includes NABTEB Result in Its Job Requirements

Officially. Nigerian Police is accepting NABTEB for its recruitment into any of the positions.

Applicants must have an O'Level Certificate at least Five (5) Credits level passes including Mathematics and English Language in not more than two sittings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO, NABTEB.

Nigerian Army is Accepting NABTEB for its Recruitments

Similar to Nigerian Police the Army also accepts NTABEB just like other SSCE results for its recruitments. Accordingly,

Candidates must possess a minimum of 4 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB. One of the credits must be in English Language.

NABTEB Result is Not Limited to Recruits

Don't confuse the acceptance of NABTEB for force form to be only applicable to recruits applications. No.

Other positions such as inspectors, superintendent, direct short services, etc require NABTEB as well.

Nigerian Navy in her Direct Short Service application stated that

All applicants must present O’level West African Examination Certificate (WAEC), in addition to any other results such as NECO. Credit in Mathematics and English is compulsory.

In addition to any other results should be interpreted as, "WAEC is compulsory with any possible other SSCE result such as NECO and NABTEB".

Some Organisations May Not Accept NABTEB

However, some private companies such as banks may not accept it from their prospective employees. Where they won't, it should be made known in their job adverts. If otherwise, that means they accept it just like any other SSCE.
Contrary to that, NABTEB Advanced Level is highly demanded by companies that require technical knowledge for jobs e.g breweries, manufacturing companies, etc. NABTEB A'level is not like any SSCE results. Instead, it's a diploma course/result equivalent to National Diploma, NCE, IJMB, or JUPEB.

Conclusion

Whether you're applying for a position at Nigerian Police, Army, Navy, Airforce, Customs, and similar other military and para-military organizations, NABTEB is generally accepted. Hence, there is no preference for particular exams when such an organization refers to SSCE results.
