All interested applicants should take note of the detailed information including the requirements, cut-off mark, and processes of the application below.

Maritime Academy of Nigeria is a National Diploma and Higher National Diploma award school. After completing your ND or HND, you can then proceed to any university to pursue equivalent degree course through JAMB direct entry.

List of Maritime Academy Courses

The duration of National Diploma (ND) programs is two (2) years, divided into four (4) semesters. The following programs are on offer:

1. Nautical Science
2. Marine Engineering
3. Electrical/Electronic Engineering
4. Transport And Business Studies

Maritime Academy Post UTME/ND Full-Time Admission Requirements and Eligibility

1. Candidates who select Maritime Academy of Nigeria as their First(1st) Choice Institution in the 2023 UTME and score above the required cut-off Mark as stated below are eligible for post-UTME registration.
2. UTME Subject Combination should be English Language, Mathematics, Geography, and Physics
3. Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Geography, and any other related Science subjects obtained within the last five years in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.
4. Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must have a functional and accessible electronic mail address (E-mail) and mobile phone number for correspondence. Candidates are not required to present themselves physically except on invitation through the Website Publication and E-mail/text messages.
5. Due to the peculiar requirements of the Institution and the maritime industry as well as the International Convention on Standard of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) as amended which mandates all seafarers to be physically and mentally fit to work in the maritime industry, all applicants are expected to be physically and mentally fit to be able to withstand the rigors/challenges of the cadetship training. Consequently, shortlisted candidates will be required to present themselves for physical and medical screening when invited.
6. Candidates should print out Application Medical Examination Form (Form M) from the application portal. This form should be duly completed and signed before uploading on the portal.
7. Candidates are expected to undergo the following medical tests at any Government Hospital and upload medical results on the application portal.
8. Marital Status Applicants must be single and shall remain single throughout the duration of the program.
9. Candidates applying for Nautical Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, and Marine Engineering must be between the ages of 16 and 21 as of 31st October 2023 Candidates applying for Maritime Transport and Business Studies must be between the ages of 16 and 25 as of 31st October 2023.
10. Candidates are required to possess the following:

• Nautical Science - 175
• Marine Engineering - 175
• Electrical/Electronic Engineering -175
• Maritime Transport and Business Studies - 160

Maritime Academy Post UTME Method of Application and Payment

Eligible candidates should log on to the Academy website and take the following steps:

1. Click on Admission – HND/ND Registration Portal
2. Login with UTME number as Username and Jamb Score as Password
3. Generate and Print the Payment Slip for the screening fee of N2000.00
4. Proceed to any of the banks listed on the application portal dashboard to make payment using the eTranzact Payment Platform or pay online
5. Return to the Academy Portal to Complete the Registration Form

NOTE:

1. Candidates with incomplete registration will be automatically disqualified
2. The Academy has zero tolerance for drug abuse, bullying, or any social violence. Applicants found wanting shall lose his/her cadetship.
