Approved Federal Monotechnics in Nigeria and Their Locations

Admission seekers can consider any of the following federal monotechnics during JAMB UTME registration or change of institutions and courses exercise period.

There are Federal-owned monotechnics in Nigeria. They can be mistaken for polytechnics though, yet, they are not the same. These institutions award mostly National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in their courses and in a few cases, the Advanced Diploma Programmes - just like the usual polytechnics.

In summary, a polytechnic is a tertiary institution of learning found to train students mainly in the areas of engineering and technology. On the other hand, a Monotechnic is established to give attention, in training, to a certain area of specialization e.g health, art, culture, etc.
