JAMB Brochure For Federal University, Wukari, Taraba State

While registering for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE), you may want to consider the Federal University, Wukari, Taraba State. The university may also come to mind if you're trying to change institutions/courses.

There are important things to note on any of the above occasions. You should be certain if the university has the proposed course, the UTME subjects required for it, the SSCE subjects that are compulsory for the course, and in the case of the DE applicants, the base course and grade required.

Important Guidelines to Study the Brochure

1. For better understanding, below, you will see the names of the courses. And below each course, you will see the Direct Entry requirement numbered 1, SSCE i.e. WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB subjects requirements numbered 2 with UTME subjects numbered 3.
2. Where the DE requirement states "A'level". This includes Advanced qualifications such as JUPEB, IJMB, Cambridge, etc. Just be sure you know the one being accepted by the university
3. Only three UTME subjects will be included in each course. This is because English is general to all courses. Hence, it's not repeated to save space.

1. Accountancy/Accounting

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government, and Geography.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any other two (2) other subjects. For NBC holders, the other two (2) relevant subjects could be from any of Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice, and Secretarial Duties.?
3. Mathematics, Economics plus any Social Science subject.

2. Adult And Continuous Education

1. (i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes. (ii) NCE merit in two (2) subjects.
2. Five (5) 'O' Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and three (3) of Literature in English, History, French, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Studies, Geography/Physic, Economics, and Government or TC II with a pass in English Language and four (4) other subjects.
3. Government/History, one (1) Social Science subject, and any other subject.

3. African Traditional Religion

1. Any two (2) ‘A’ Level passes.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language and four (4) other relevant subjects.
3. Any Three (3) Subjects.

4. Agricultural Engineering

1. 'A' Level passes or equivalent in Physics and Mathematics.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and any from Introduction to Agricultural Science, Materials and Workshop Process and Machining, Tractor Layout Power Unit Under Carriage and Auto Electricity; Transmission System; Implement and Machine; Principles of Crop Husbandry and Land Use, Materials and Workshop Processes; Construction and Maintenance of Agricultural Machines; general Metal Work; General Wood Work and Building/Engineering Drawing.
3. Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.

5. Agriculture

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and one from Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science, Economics, Physics, Geography, and Geology/Mathematics (Pure & Applied).
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, and any one of Mathematics, Physics, Geography, and  Economics.
3. Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture, and any one of Physics or Mathematics.

6. Applied Physics

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Physics and Mathematics.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and any other Science subject from Further Mathematics and Biology or Agricultural Science.
3. Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry or Biology.

7. Banking And Finance

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes chosen from Accounting, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Geography, and Statistics.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include: English Language, Mathematics, and any other subjects. For NBC, the other two (2) relevant subjects could be from any of the following; Accounting, Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice, and Economics. 
3. Mathematics, Economics, plus any one (1) of Government and Geography.

8. Biochemistry

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes were chosen from Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Biology. NCE/ND/HND in related programs plus the UTME requirements.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Biology.
3. Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.

9. Biology

1. i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes from Chemistry, Biology, Botany/Zoology. (ii) NCE merit accepted.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Physics.
3. Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.

10. Business Administration

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography, or Statistics.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, and Economics, plus any two (2) of Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography, and Statistics.
3. Mathematics, Economics, and one (1) another subject.

11. Chemical Engineering

1. 'A' Level passes in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language, and any other Science subject.
3. Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

12. Chemistry

1. i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) in Physics, Mathematics, or Biology. (ii) ND/NCE with good grades in relevant 'O' Level subjects.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
3. Chemistry and two (2) of Physics, Biology, and Mathematics.

13. Christian Religious Studies

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes/NCE to include CRS/Religious Studies.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, CRS, and three (3) other relevant subjects.
3. Two (2) Arts subjects including CRS and any other subject.

14. Computer Engineering

1. Three (3) 'A' Level passes in Pure Mathematics or Pure and Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and English Language.
3. Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

15. Computer Science

1. i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in science subjects including Mathematics (ii) NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) other Science or Social Science subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, and Physics plus two (2) other Science subjects.
3. Mathematics, Physics, and one (1) of Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics, and Geography.

16. Economics

1. Two (2)'A' Level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Accounting, Business Management, History, and Government.
2. Five (5)SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two (2) of Arts or Social Science subjects.
3. Economics, Mathematics, and any of Government, History, Geography, and Literature in English, French, and Christian Religious Studies/Islamic Studies.

17. Education And Biology

1. NCE/'A' Level passes in Biology and one (1) other Science subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and one (1) other subject.
3. Biology and two (2) other subjects from Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.

18. Education And Chemistry

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes including Chemistry and one (1) other Science subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credits in Mathematics, Chemistry, English Language and two (2) of Physics, Biology and Agricultural Science.
3. Chemistry and two (2) other subjects chosen from Physics, Biology and Mathematics.

19. Education And Mathematics

1. Two (2)'A' Level passes/NCE in Mathematics and one (1) Science subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics plus one (1) other Science subject.
3. Mathematics and any two (2) of the following Science subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

20. Education And Physics

1. (i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Physics and Mathematics. (ii) NCE credit/merit in relevant subjects.
2. Five (5) 'O' Level credits passes to include English Language, Physics, Mathematics and two (2) other Science subjects or NTC/NBC.
3. Physics, Mathematics or Chemistry plus one (1) other subject.

21. English Language And Literature

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes to include Literature in English and one other Arts subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Literature in English, English Language and three other Arts or Social Science subjects.
3. Literature in English, one other Arts subject and another Arts or Social Science subject.

22. Fisheries And Aquaculture

1. (i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in any of Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Agricultural Science Geography, Mathematics (pure & applied), Physics, Geology and Economics. (ii)NCE Agriculture
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language plus any other Science subject.
3. Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any other Science subject.

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Physics/Agric Science/Botany/Zoology.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Physics, Basic Catering and Food Services, Bakery and    Confectionaries, Hotel & Catering Crafty course (Cookery), Hotel & Catering Craft Course (Food /Drinks Services) and Basic Electricity.

24. Forestry And Wildlife Management

25. History And Diplomatic Studies

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes/NCE (upper credit) in History/ Government and any other related subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Geography, Government/History.
3. History/Government and any other two (2) subjects from the Arts and Social Sciences.

26. Hospitality And Tourism Management

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or equivalents in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Economics/Physics/Mathematics/Geography/Accounting
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, Physics, English Language and any one of Nutrition, Fine Arts, Textile, Construction, Technical Drawing, Basic Electricity, Basic Catering and Food  Services, Bakery and Confectioneries, General Metal Work, Men Garment Construction and Finishing, Spinning,  Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing, Ladies Garment Construction and Finishing.  
3. Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and Mathematics/Physics or one (1) Social Science subject

27. Hotel Management And Tourism

1. (i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Chemistry and Mathematics (ii) ND in Science Technology or ND in relevant programmes with the UTME requirements.

31. Islamic Studies

1. Two (2) ‘A’ level passes to include Islamic Studies.

39. Philosophy

1. Any two (2) ‘A’ Level passes.

40. Physical And Health Education

1. (i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in any of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. (ii) NCE merit in Physical Education and credit in Arithmetical process or Mathematics. (iii) Diploma in Health Education, Environmental Sanitation, Physical Education, Social work, Health Administration with overall grades of merit plus three (3) 'O' Level credit passes/TC II merit which should include English Language.(iv) NCE in Biology, Health Education, and Integrated Science with a pass grade plus two (2) 'O' Level credit passes/TC II merit passes. (v) Registered Nurse plus five (5) 'O' Level credit passes to include English Language.
2. i) Five (5) SSC credit passes/TC II merit passes including     English Language, Biology or its equivalent. ii) Five (5) SSC credit passes/TC II merit passes to include English Language and Mathematics.

44. Public Administration

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government, Geography and Statistics.
