Several banks have been warning, among which is Zenith Bank Plc. Very recently the Access Bank equally reaffirmed the need for its customers to open their eyes wide to know when things get fishy.
The bank's management updated on its official Twitter handle that customers should avoid sharing some personal and bank information with whosoever.

Please remember that Access Bank will NEVER ask you to send your PIN, OTP, internet banking codes, full card number, or any personal banking details. Please do not share these details with anyone.^Mazi
Similarly, if you must contact your bank through any channels ( email, Twitter, Facebook, etc.)., don't share any of this information as the bank won't ask for them, officially. If you must give your ATM card information, the only thing they ask for is the first six digits and the last four digits of the card. Any more than that, it's more of a scam.
Be warned!

Guide to Avoiding Fraudulent Activities on Your Access Bank Account
There are several steps you can take to protect yourself from fraudsters if you have an Access Bank account:
- Keep your personal and financial information confidential: Do not share your personal or financial information with anyone, whether online or offline. This includes your Access Bank account number, PIN, password, and any other sensitive information. Fraudsters can use this information to access your account and steal your money.
- Use strong passwords and PINs: When creating passwords and PINs for your Access Bank account, use strong and unique combinations that are difficult to guess. Avoid using common words or easily identifiable information such as your date of birth, name, or address.
- Regularly review your account statements: Review your account statements regularly to check for any suspicious transactions or activities. If you notice anything unusual, report it to Access Bank immediately.
- Enable two-factor authentication: Access Bank offers two-factor authentication for online banking, which provides an additional layer of security. This means that you will need to enter a one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number before you can access your account online.
- Be cautious of unsolicited calls and emails: Be wary of unsolicited calls or emails that ask for your personal or financial information. Fraudsters may pretend to be Access Bank employees or representatives to trick you into giving them your details.
- Report any suspicious activities: If you suspect that your Access Bank account has been compromised, report it to the bank immediately. Access Bank has a fraud hotline (01-2702005-7) or [email protected] that you can call to report any suspicious activities or transactions.
