If you've faced problems sending money with one of the available methods Acess Bank has given its customers. However, if one channel is having a temporary delay, Access Bank offers various methods to transfer money, including USSD, App, ATM, Online Banking, etc.

1. Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD Code)

USSD transfers are subject to daily limits of N20,000 if students while other types of accounts may transfer up to N100,000. Also, charges may apply if you transfer to other banks than Access.

Here are the detailed steps to transfer money from an Access Bank account using USSD:


  1. Dial *901# from the phone number linked to your Access Bank account.
  2. Select "Transfer" from the menu options.
  3. Choose the account you want to transfer money from (Savings, Current or Wallet).
  4. Select the destination bank (Access Bank or Other Banks).
  5. Enter the recipient's account number.
  6. Confirm the recipient's account name displayed on the screen. If the name is incorrect, do not proceed with the transfer and contact Access Bank customer service.
  7. Enter the amount you want to transfer.
  8. Choose the purpose of the transfer (e.g., salary payment, school fees, etc.).
