2024/2025 FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN TEACHING HOSPITAL ADMISSION EXERCISE

This is to notify the public of the sales of forms for admission into the School of Nursing, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (Federal)Ilorin Kwara State. The order of the entire admission process for this 2024/2025 session is as follows.

About the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital Nursing Programme

The University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) belongs to the second generation of Teaching Hospitals that were established by law on the 2nd May 1980. It took off in July1980 and started operation using as its temporary site, the then General Hospital and Maternity Hospital Ilorin which were owned by the Kwara State Government. The permanent site of the hospital was declared open by His Excellency, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in May 2007 while complete movement took place in April 2010

After completing a three-year Basic Nursing Programme, you're qualified as a Registered Nurse (RN). Hence, you can work with this. You can as well proceed for Midwifery studies in the same school or another to have Registered Midwifery (RM). You can instead proceed to a university (for a degree) through the JAMB direct entry in order to obtain Bsc Nursing (BSN).

UNILORIN School of Nursing Admission Requirements and Eligibility

All applications for the 2024/2025 admission exercise to UITH SCHOOLS are out. Members of the public should be aware of fraudsters.

1. Candidates must possess five (5) credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in WASSCE/NECO at not more than two (2) sittings.
2. NABTEB is accepted but cannot be combined with any other O’level Certificate (WASSCE/NECO)
3. No awaiting result shall be accepted at the interview.
4. Candidates must not be less than 17 years of age at the time of application.
5. Candidates must not have any criminal record.
6. Candidates must not have any deformity of the hands.

UNILORIN School of Nursing Method of Application and Payment

1. Fill in and print the application form on the School Admission Portal or click https://www.uithilorin.org.ng/nursing
2. The Application forms are to be filled out from the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital website (www.uithilorin.org.ng) and pay Ten thousand naira (N10,000.00) non-refundable fee into the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital Account with the CBN through CBN e-payment gateway REMITA.
3. All the data and scanned uploads (e.g. Certificates, Referees, Remita receipts, etc.) on the form fields MUST be supplied correctly as required for your form to be processed.
4. Payment MUST be made first before proceeding to the form page
5. To make the payment Log on to www.remita.net
6. Click on Pay FGN and State TSA
7. Select and click FGN Federal Government of Nigeria
8. Type University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital on whom do you want to pay
9. Select UITH GENERAL PURPOSE on Name of Service/Purpose
10. Fill in the necessary information and make your payment.

12. After payment is made through the Remita Platform, you can now proceed with your registration by filling the online SPBN FORM with the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number generated with the payment made.
13. Click APPLY NOW below, then it will redirect to the interface where you will be asked to enter a VALID personal E-mail address.
14. A confirmation link will be sent to the e-mail you provided during the E-mail registration.
15. Log in to your E-mail account by opening a new tab in the same browser already opened.
16. Click on the link sent to your E-mail by noreply@uithilorin.
17. The SPBN application form will be made available for you to fill out and submit.
18. Select the school in the drop-down menu you wish to apply for.
19. Note: On the sponsor details from fields you are expected to get the scanned signature of the sponsor in jpeg or png or jpg format for upload.
20. Note: Each candidate is required to upload THREE TYPED AND SCANNED REFEREES, WITH THE REFEREES LETTER HEADED PAPER in jpeg or png or jpg format.
21. Fill every other field on the form as required.
22. After submission waits for 2 seconds as you will be directed to print or download the filled form.
23. NOTE: if you do not see your printout, it means your form was not successfully submitted, so you have to refill the form
24. NOTE: You are to bring the online printout after submission on the day of the exam/interview.

Exams and Interview Schedules

1. Closing Date: 2024.
2. Examination: between 2024. Candidates are to confirm the date on UITH website from 2024. Come to the CBT Centre (for the entrance examination) with the summary page of the submitted online form and writing materials (no calculator or handset)
3. Oral Interview: 2024. Invited candidates for Oral interview should come with Original copy of O’level certificate/printout and original copy of birth certificate/ Declaration of age.
4. Venue: University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital School Complex (Former Maternity Hospital), Amilegbe, Ilorin.
5. Resumption Date: 2024
