2023/2024 ONLINE ADMISSION SCREENING EXERCISE (100 LEVEL) AND DIRECT ENTRY (200 LEVEL) CANDIDATES

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the Lagos State University 2023/2024 Admission Screening Exercise, for Candidates seeking admission via UTME (100 Level) and DIRECT Entry (200 Level). This ONLINE Screening Exercise is a mandatory requirement for entry into Lagos State University.

APPLICATION
  1. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the Lagos State University 2023/2024 Admission Screening Exercise (Regular Student without Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Training), for candidates seeking admission via UTME (100 level) and DIRECT Entry. This ONLINE screening exercise is a mandatory requirement for entry into Lagos State University. The Tuition Fees for the Regular Student without Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Training is Fifty-Seven Thousand, Forty-Eight Naira, Fifty Kobo (N57,048.50) only per annum.
  2. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the Lagos State University 2023/2024 Admission Screening Exercise (Regular student with Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Training), for candidates seeking admission via UTME (100 level ONLY). This ONLINE screening exercise is a mandatory requirement for admission into the B.Sc./B.A. WITH CERTIFICATES IN ENTERPRENUESHIP PROGRAMME of Lagos State University. The Tuition Fees for the Regular student with Comprehensive Entrepreneurship is One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N150,000.00) only per session.

CANDIDATES ARE TO NOTE THAT THEY CAN ONLY APPLY FOR ONLY EITHER OF A OR B ABOVE DURING THE ADMISSION SCREENING. CANDIDATES MUST NOT SCREEN FOR BOTH 1 AND 2. For more details, check and download the post UTME advert by the university management.

Post UTME/DE Requirements and Eligibility For Screening

  1. Candidates who have chosen Lagos State University as their First Choice Institution in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME), and have scored a minimum of 190 (cut-off the mark) are eligible to participate in the Online Admission Screening Exercise. In addition, Candidates must be at least 16 years of age, by 1st October 2023.
  2. ALL Pre Degree Studies (PDS) students who have successfully completed their studies and wish to be considered for admission into Lagos State University in the 2023/2024 Academic Session, who must have chosen Lagos State University as their First Choice Institution in 2023. Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME), and have scored a minimum of 190 marks are eligible to participate in the Online Admission Screening Exercise.
  3. ALL Direct Entry (200 Level) Candidates, including LASU Foundation (JUPEB), who wish to be considered for admission into Lagos State University for the 2023/2024 Academic Session, who must have obtained Direct Entry Form from JAMB are also eligible and must apply for the Screening Exercise.
  4. Candidates of Lagos State Origin, for 100 & 200 Levels who have proved their claims before the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (lIVC) set up by the Lagos State University must fill in their IIVC Code on the Screening Portal.

Candidates should note that ONLY the accredited courses listed below are available for the 2023/2024 Academic Session. Therefore, Candidates can only apply for ANY of the under-listed courses for which they possess relevant requirements for admission. See the full list of LASU courses here.

LASU Post UTME/DE Method of Application And Payment

ONLINE PAYMENT
  1. Prospective Candidates will visit https://services.lidc.lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening and select the MAKE PAYMENT option in the drop-down list at the top, to make the required non-refundable payment of the Screening Fee for the 2023/2024 LASU Admission Screening Exercise.
  2. The Prospective Candidates would be required to submit the following: JAMB Registration Number, Surname, First name, Middle name, Email Address, and Telephone Number (both must be active and personal to the applicant)
  3. Click on PROCEED
  4. On the next page, a TRANSACTION ID to be used for PAYMENT would be displayed. The Candidate should copy this TRANSACTION ID and proceed with PAYMENT 

LASU Online Registration Guidelines For All Candidates

  1. After successful payment for LASU 2023/2024 Online Admission Screening Exercise, return to lasu.edu.ng and CLICK the CONTINUE REGISTRATION button to print your Screening PIN.
  2. Use your JAMB Registration Number AND the printed Screening PIN to log in to the LASU Online Screening Platform at https://services.lidc.lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening for the screening after Selecting UTME or Direct Entry (DE) Button.
  3. Carefully fill in your personal details as required
  • Upload passport photograph NOT MORE THAN 20KB (JPEG)
  • Save and proceed
  • Carefully enter your UTME details
  • Scan and Upload UTME result slip NOT MORE THAN 20KB (PDF)
  • Save and proceed
  • Select the number of O’ Level sitting(s)
  • Scan and Upload O’ Level result slip(s) NOT MORE THAN 20KB (PDF)
  • Save and proceed
  • Input required O’ Level details
  • Save and proceed

NOTE
  1. Candidates must possess Five (5) O' Level Credit Passes in subjects relevant to their desired course of study at not more than Two (2) sittings, except Medicine and Dentistry which require ONLY One (1) sitting.
  2. Candidates who wish to study any Engineering Course and wish to use Two (2) sitting of O’Level Results must possess Six (6) O' Level Credit Passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language, one Science subject, and any other subject.
  3. Candidates with Awaiting Result status are also eligible to apply for the Screening Exercise.
  4. Credit Pass in the English Language is compulsory for admission into all courses at Lagos State University.
  5. Candidates of Lagos State Origin who have proved their claims before the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) MUST fill in their IIVC Code on the Screening Portal.
  6. Note that any examination taken after July 2023 MAY NOT ACCEPTABLE.
  7. Carefully preview all details supplied and CERTIFY that they are correct
  8. CHECK THE “I CERTIFY” BUTTON if you agree with all details as displayed in the Preview
  9. By ticking the “I CERTIFY” Button, the Candidate confirms that the screening will be premised ONLY on the supplied information as the screening decision is final. If you do not agree to the stated terms you will not be permitted to go beyond this point.
  10. Click the “Continue” button
  11. After submission, you will be redirected to the Screening Homepage
  12. Enter your UTME REGISTRATION NUMBER then click DOWNLOAD RESULT to generate your SCREENING

Online Screening for All Candidates

  1. The Screening of Candidate(s) will be based on Point Grading System, using the UTME Score and SSCE (or equivalent) Grades in Five (5) BEST RELEVANT subjects to the Candidate’s Choice of Course
  2. The relevant subjects are obtainable from the 2023 JAMB Brochure available online at http://ibass.jamb.gov.ng/ 

  3. Candidates are advised to visit the JAMB website to study the O’ Level subject requirements for their Course of choice before participating in the Online Admission Screening.
  4. The Point Grading System is as follows:

    1. Only the department will determine the aggregate cut-off for the course. Unfortunately, that will not be decided until after the screening ends and admission list about to be released.

  14. I checked lasu jamb course requirements for business administration and the major required o'level subject are maths and eng, economics is among the minor subject and I have d7 in economics, so without economics will I be able to study business administration dministration in lasu ?
