With this, you want answers to three questions depending on your own concerns. As a UTME candidate, you want to know:
- The JAMB subject combination for Agricultural Engineering and
- SSCE (O'level) subject requirement for it.
As Direct Entry (DE) applicant, you want to know, aside from the O'level requirements, which concern you too, what the A'level, NCE, ND, HND, or BSC required for Agric Engineering.
In this post, using the official JAMB brochure, I'll be giving you the official admission requirements for ALL universities that are offering Agricultural Engineering.
First, The General JAMB Requirement for Agric Engineering
According to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), candidates seeking admission into Agricultural Engineering must have the following.
- Direct Entry (DE) Applicants: (i) A'level passes or equivalent in Physics and Mathematics.
- SSCE/DE Applicants: Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any from Introduction to Agricultural Science, Materials and Workshop Process and Machining, Tractor Layout Power Unit Under Carriage and Auto Electricity; Transmission System; Implement and Machine; Principles of Crop Husbandry and Land Use, Materials and Workshop Processes; Construction and Maintenance of Agricultural Machines; general Metal Work; General Wood Work and Building/Engineering Drawing.
- JAMB subject Combination: English, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.
Second, The Specific Requirement By A Few Universities Offering Agric Engineering
