About FUNAAB Part-Time Degree Programme (PTDP)
The part-time programme is a non-residential programme, with lectures held on weekends at the Main Campus of the University. The programme will run for one (1) year above for the number of years of the full-time programme.
In order words, where a full-time course is four years, the part-time will be five. And where the full-time is five, the part-time will be six.
The programme was launched to:
- Meet the academic needs of candidates who cannot be accommodated in the full-time programs of the University.
- Provide an opportunity for workers to acquire tertiary education without traveling long distances for similar programs.
Students are offered admission into 100l, 200l, and 300l depending on their entry qualifications. The Unit has a Management team, led by the Head of Programme, supported by five Assistant Heads of Programme who represent each college whose courses are offered in the programme and administrative support staff. The Part-Time Degree Programme is department-based.

FUNAAB Degree Part-Time Admission Requirements and Eligibility
- Candidates seeking admission into Part-time Degree Programmes should possess at least 5 O’ level credit passes in the following subject: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science in West Africa School Certificate (WAEC), Senior Secondary Certificate (SSCE), Examinations or National Examination Council (NECO), General Certificate of Education (GCE) or its equivalent. - Candidates who possess NCE/OND or HND Certificates in related courses from Institutions recognized by the University Senate may also apply. This category of applicants will be considered for 200 and 300 level depending on the university's admission policies and their desired courses.
FUNAAB Degree Part-Time Admissions Method of Application and Payment
- Prospective applicants should visit the part-time admission portal or click https://portal.unaab.edu.ng/pt/Secure/PreFill.aspx?purpose=application
- On the resulting page, fill in your bio-data and pick the desired course, and submit
- You will be prompted to make an application fee of sixteen thousand naira (#16,000.00k) excluding processing charges is #247.00k
- After a successful payment, return to the portal, log in and continue to fill the rest of the application for
- On completion of the registration, submit and print the acknowledgment slip for the record.
What Next After Applying For the FUNAAB Degree Part-Time Programme
- Applicants are to wait for the school notification of admission through SMS, Email, and regular checking of their admission status through their application portal
- After being offered admission, you're to make the payment for the acceptance fee.
- Once the acceptance fee is paid, the school payment will be opened for you.
- Before paying the tuition, you're expected to report to the school for a physical screening of your documents. It's after the clearance that you should pay the school fee
- After this, classes will start
