NDA: Move to CBT, List of Exam Centers and More

Once you meet the JAMB cut-off mark required by the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), the next step is to choose your intended state/town for the exam. You may also want to know, even before obtaining their admission form, the list of states usually used for their entrance exams.

While you'd like to know, for reference purposes, NDA has been conducting its entrance exam using the paper-and-pencil method for many years. However, starting from the 2024 admission exercise, the academy has transitioned to computer-based testing (CBT). In the meantime, the same states used before the introduction of CBT are the ones loaded for the 2024 aspirants.

List of NDA Exam States

The academy typically selects 15 states for its entrance exam. Below are the states and the cities/towns where the exam will be held:

After Selecting Your Exam State and Printing the Exam Slip

Once you print the exam slip, you should see your exam center address on the printout. In most cases, aspirants might not have heard of such a location or been there before. Hence, you'll find the following tips helpful to navigate the exam time and location concerns.

  1. Plan Your Route: Use maps or navigation apps to familiarize yourself with the location of the exam center. Plan your route in advance, considering factors like traffic and transportation options.
  2. Visit the Exam Center: If possible, visit the exam center a few days before the exam date. This will help you get acquainted with the surroundings and reduce anxiety on the day of the exam.
  3. Arrive Early: Aim to arrive at the exam center well before the scheduled start time. This allows for any unexpected delays and gives you time to settle in and mentally prepare for the exam.
  4. Bring Necessary Documents: Make sure to bring all required documents, such as your exam slip, identification, and any other materials specified by the exam authorities.
  5. Stay Calm: It's normal to feel nervous before an exam, especially if it's in an unfamiliar location. Take deep breaths, stay positive, and focus on your preparation.
  6. Follow Instructions: Pay close attention to any instructions provided by exam officials. Follow procedures for entering the exam hall and submitting your answers.
  7. Utilize Breaks Wisely: If there are breaks during the exam, use them to relax, stretch, and refocus your mind for the next section.
  8. Stay Hydrated and Energized: Bring water and snacks to stay hydrated and energized throughout the exam. Avoid heavy meals or caffeine crashes that could affect your concentration.
