Will UNILESA Write Post UTME or Screening?

While deciding to choose the University of Ilesa (UNILESA) in JAMB or when changing your institutions/courses, you may want to know, ahead, if the university will consider writing post-UTME or will go for online and/or physical screening.

I've once written that any university, polytechnic, or college of education will use any of the three available methods to admit its students.

While some will write entrance exams popularly called "post-UTME" (usually CBT), some will give in to online screening only while a few others will blend both online screening and physical screening.

Which one will UNILESA go for? Post UTME or screening or a blend of the two. Well, in this post, I will be answering this question and sharing insights on what to expect.

UNILESA Will Conduct Post-UTME

Of course, as of 2023, when this university is admitting students for the first time, it may be difficult to conclude whether the post-UTME will be its choice or screening.

But as an education consultant with over two decades of experience, I can say, with evidence, that the university will conduct post-UTME even for its maiden aspirants.

How do I know?

This information was contained in the post-UTME advert. If you've seen the post-UTME advert of the University of Ilesa, you'll see right on the document that the university intends to conduct the entrance CBT for its candidates.

Item number 5 (v) on the advert above informs potential students to prepare post-UTME which is expected to follow after the online registration.  The date stipulated for the 2023 exam was 6th November 2023.

A Part of The Registration Indicates Post-UTME

Generally, post-UTMEs, like UTME, are CBT lately. Yes, schools that conduct post-UTME usually use computer-based tests.

As such, immediately after the post-UTME form of the University of Ilesa is opened to you, you will a section showing CBT. The form shows the different sections:

  1. Bio-data
  2. Qualifications
  3. Preview

After those three is CBT which translates to the fact that the university will use post-UTME. In other words, the next stage that follows the online registration is post-UTME which will be CBT.

The Post UTME Will Be Held On Campus

We've seen universities that hold post-UTME online without inviting students to campus e.g. FUHSI, OAU, etc. The University of Ilesa will do otherwise. UNILESA will schedule students to visit the campus for the post-UTME.

Making reference to the advert part earlier quoted for the 2023 admission year, the entrance exam will be held within the school premises.

As an emphasis, prepare for the post-UTME that will be computer-based just as your UTME. Similarly, you may need to prepare for the same papers you sat for in JAMB. It's more likely you'll be tested based on the subjects you wrote in JAMB.
