While registering for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE), you may want to consider the Federal University, Kashere, Gombe State. The university may also come to mind if you're trying to do the change of institutions/courses.

There are important things to note on any of the above occasions. You should be certain if the university has the proposed course, of the UTME subjects required for it, the SSCE subjects that are compulsory for the course, and in the case of the DE applicants, the base course and grade required.

Important Guidelines to Study the Brochure

1. For better understanding, below, you will see the names of the courses. And below each course, you will see the Direct Entry requirement numbered 1, SSCE i.e WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB subjects requirements numbered 2 with UTME subjects numbered 3.
2. Where the DE requirement states "A'level". This includes Advanced programmes qualifications such as JUPEB, IJMB, Cambridge, etc. Just be sure you know the one being accepted by the university
3. Only three UTME subjects will be included in each course. This is because English is general to all courses. Hence, it's not repeated to save spaces

1. Accountancy/Accounting

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government and Geography.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) other subjects. For NBC holders, the other two (2) relevant subjects could be from any of Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice and Secretarial Duties.?
3. Mathematics, Economics plus any Social Science subject.

2. Agricultural Science And Education

1. (i) Two (2) passes at 'A' Level in Biology /Zoology /Botany and any other Science subject. (ii) NCE merit in Biology and any other Science subject. (iii) NCE merit in Agriculture (Double Major).
2. Five (5) 'O' Level credit passes or equivalents in English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science., Mathematics and another relevant subject.
3. Any three (3) subjects from Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Physics, Economics, Geography and Mathematics.

3. Applied Geophysics

1. 'A' Level passes in Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Biology.
3. Any three (3) of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

4. Arabic Studies

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Arabic and any other Arts subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Arabic and three (3) other relevant subjects.
3. Arabic and two (2) subjects from Arts and/or Social Sciences.

5. Biochemistry

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes chosen from Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology. (ii. NCE/ND/HND in related programmes plus the UTME requirements.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology.
3. Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.

6. Biology

1. (i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes from Chemistry, Biology, Botany/Zoology. (ii) NCE merit accepted.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics/Physics.
3. Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.

7. Business Administration

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, plus any two (2) of Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography, and Statistics.
3. Mathematics, Economics and one (1) other subject.

8. Chemistry

1. (i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) of Physics, Mathematics or Biology. (ii) ND/NCE with good grades in relevant 'O' Level subjects.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
3. Chemistry and two (2) of Physics, Biology and Mathematics.

9. Christian Religious Studies

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes/NCE to include CRS/Religious Studies.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, CRS and three (3) other relevant subjects.
3. Two (2) Arts subjects including CRS and any other subject.

10. Computer Science

1. (i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in science subjects including Mathematics (ii) NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) other Science or Social Science subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two (2) other Science subjects.
3. Mathematics, Physics and one (1) of Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics and Geography.

11. Criminology And Security Studies

1. Two (2)'A' Level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government.
2. Five (5)SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two (2) of Arts or Social Science subjects.
3. Economics, Mathematics and any of Government, History, Geography, Literature in English, French and Christian Religious Studies/Islamic Studies.

12. Economics

1. ND/NCE with upper/merit  credit in the relevant programme in addition to five (5) credit passes  at  SSC  at not more than two (2) sittings
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and at least two (2) other  relevant  subjects from   Commerce, Government and Accounting .
3. Economics, Mathematics and any of Government, History, Geography, Literature in English, French and CRS/IRS.

13. Economics Anddevelopment Studies

1. Two (2)'A' Level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government.
2. Five (5)SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two (2) of Arts or Social Science subjects.
3. Economics, Mathematics and any of Government, History, Geography, Literature in English, French and Christian Religious Studies/Islamic Studies.

14. Education And Arabic

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes or NCE in relevant subjects including Arabic.
2. Five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Arabic.
3. Arabic and any two (2) relevant Arts/Social Science subjects.

15. Education And Biology

1. NCE/'A' Level passes in Biology and one (1) other Science subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and one (1) other subject.
3. Biology and two (2) other subjects from Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.

16. Education and Chemistry

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes including Chemistry and one (1) other Science subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credits in Mathematics, Chemistry, English Language and two (2) of Physics, Biology and Agricultural Science.
3. Chemistry and two (2) other subjects chosen from Physics, Biology and Mathematics.

17. Education And Computer Science

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes including Physics or Chemistry.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes or its equivalents including Mathematics, English Language and three (3) other Science subjects.
3. Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry and Geography.

18. Education And Economics

1. (i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Economics and one (1) other relevant subject. (ii) NCE merit/credit in Economics and one (1) other subject.
2. Five (5) 'O' Level credit passes to include English Language, Economics and Mathematics.
3. Economics, Mathematics and one (1) other subject from Geography/Physics, History, Government and Literature in English.

19. Education And English Language

1. (i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in relevant teaching subjects including Literature in English. (ii)  NCE credit or merit in two(2)relevant subjects.
2. Five (5) 'O' Level credit passes to include English Language and Literature in English plus three (3) other Arts or Social Science subjects.
3. Literature in English and one (1) Art and any other subject.

20. Education And Geography

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes/NCE merit which should include Geography/Physics.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Geography, English Language and Mathematics.
3. Geography plus two (2) other Social Sciences/Arts subjects.

21. Education And Hausa

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes in relevant subjects to include Hausa.
2. Five (5) 'O' Level credit passes to include English Language and Hausa.
3. Hausa, one (1) Arts and one (1) subject from Economics, French, Geography/Physics, Government, History, Islamic Studies, Literature in English and Mathematics.

22. Education And History

1. Two (2) NCE merit/'A' Level passes in History and one (1) other relevant Arts subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, History and three (3) relevant Arts subjects.
3. History and any other two (2) subjects chosen from Christian Religious Studies / Islamic Studies, Literature in English, French, Yoruba, Geography/Physics, Economics, Government and Hausa.

23. Education And Integrated Science

1. (i) NCE Integrated Science (ii) NCE Science Education (iii) 'A' Level passes in two (2)Science subjects
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including Biology, Chemistry, English Language and Mathematics
3. Any three (3) of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Agricultural Science.

24. Education And Mathematics

1. Two (2)'A' Level passes/NCE in Mathematics and one (1) Science subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics plus one (1) other Science subject.
3. Mathematics and any two (2) of the following Science subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

25. Education And Physics

1. (i)  Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Physics and Mathematics. (ii) NCE credit/merit in relevant subjects.
2. Five (5) 'O' Level credits passes to include English Language, Physics, Mathematics and two (2) other Science subjects or NTC/NBC.
3. Physics, Mathematics or Chemistry plus one (1) other subjects.

26. Education And Political Science

1. (i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in relevant subjects chosen from Government or History, Economics and Geography/Physics. (ii) NCE merit in Government/History, Economics and Geography/Physics.
2. Five (5) 'O' Level credit passes or equivalent to include English Language, Government/History and three (3) other subjects.
3. Government or History plus two (2) other Arts or Social Sciences subjects.

27. Educational Administration And Planning

1. (i) Two (2)'A' Level passes from Literature in English, History, Christian Religious Studies/Islamic Studies, Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo with 'O' Level pass in Mathematics. (ii)  NCE merit in the subjects listed above. 
2. (i) Five (5)'O' Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics and Economics. (ii)  Five (5) TC II merit including English Language and Mathematics.
3. Any three (3) of Literature In English, History, French, Geography/Physics, Economics and Mathematics.

28. English Language

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes to include Literature in English and one other Arts subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Literature in English, English Language and three other Arts or Social Science subjects.
3. Literature in English, one other Arts subject and another Arts or Social Science subject.

29. Entrepreneurship

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes to include Economics and at least one of, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Mathematics.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, one Science subject and one other Social Science or Commercial subject.
3. Economics, Mathematics and one other Social Science or Commercial subject.

30. Geography

1. No Direct Entry
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Geography and any other three (3) subjects from Arts/Social Sciences with at least 'O' Level  pass in Mathematics.
3. Geography and any two (2) other Arts or Social Science subjects.

31. Guidance And Counselling

1. 'A' Level passes or NCE in two (2) subjects plus the UTME requirements.
2. Five (5) 'O' Level NTC/NBC credit passes or TC II merit including English Language with 'O' Level pass in Mathematics.
3. Any three (3) subjects.

32. Hausa

1. Two (2) A’ Level passes in Hausa and any other relevant subjects.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language and Hausa.
3. Hausa, Literature in English and any of Economics, Government, History and Arabic.

33. History And Diplomatic Studies

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes/NCE (upper credit) in History/ Government and any other related subject.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Geography, Government/History.
3. History/Government and any other two (2) subjects from the Arts and Social Sciences.

34. International Relations

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Social Science subject from Government/History, Economics, Sociology and Business Management.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Government or History and three (3) relevant subjects.
3. Economics, Literature in English and Geography/Government/History.

35. Islamic Studies

1. Two (2) ‘A’ level passes to include Islamic Studies.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language and Islamic Studies or Arabic and any three (3) relevant subjects.
3. Islamic Studies plus two (2) other Arts subjects.

36. Library And Information Science

1. (i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in relevant subjects. (ii) NCE/ND in relevant subjects/programs.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language and Mathematics.
3. Any three (3) Arts or Social Science subjects

37. Marketing

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Accounting, Management, Government, and Geography.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, and any three (3) relevant subjects
3. Mathematics, Economics plus one (1) other subject.

38. Mass Communication

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes in relevant subjects.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language.
3. Any three (3) Arts and Social Science subjects.

39. Mathematics

1. (i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Mathematics and any other science subject. (ii) NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) of Physics, Chemistry or Economics
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry.
3. Mathematics and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry and Economics or Geography.

40. Microbiology

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) from Biology, Zoology or Botany.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
3. Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics.

41. Physics

1. NCE/Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Physics and Mathematics or Chemistry.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other Science subject from Further Mathematics and Biology or Agricultural Science.
3. Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Biology.

42. Plant Science

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Biology/Botany/Zoology and Chemistry or Physics.
2. Five (5) SSC Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
3. Biology, Chemistry and any other Science subject.

43. Political Science

1. Two (2) A' Level passes to include Government or History.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Government/History and any other three (3) subjects from Arts/Social Sciences with at least 'O' Level pass in Mathematics.
3. Government/History and two (2) other Social Sciences or Arts subjects.

44. Procurement Management

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government and Geography.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) other subjects. For NBC holders, the other two (2) relevant subjects could be from any of Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice and Secretarial Duties. 
3. Mathematics, Economics plus any Social Science subject.

45. Psychology

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes including Government or History.
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in Government or History, English Language and three (3) other subjects.  A pass in Mathematics is required.

46. Public Administration

1. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government, Geography and Statistics.

50. Zoology

1. Two (2) 'A' Level passes or NCE in Biology, Zoology or Botany and one other Science subject
2. Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and two (2) other Science subject.
3. Biology and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
