Will LASUSTECH Do Post UTME or Screening?

There is a need to answer this question to help more people. A few aspirants had asked if Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) will conduct post-JAMB tests for aspirants or if the polytechnic will just use the screening method.

According to a guy commenting on one of my posts,

Please, does Lagos State University of Science and Technology conduct the fresher, screening, or post UTME?

Apparently, the guy wished to know which one to prepare his mind for if he must consider the polytechnic while filling JAMB form or during the change of institution exercise.

LASUSTECH Conducts Online Screening Only

For the past few years, the Lagos State University of Science and Technology has been consistently conducting online screening instead of post-UTME/physical screening. The screening exercise, being used by the polytechnic, only requires aspirants to fill out forms online while supplying JAMB score, O'level subjects, and grades with which the polytechnic will use to ascertain if they deserve to be admitted or otherwise.

In other words, instead of conducting post UTME of which scores will determine whether to offer aspirants admissions, the management of this polytechnic relies on candidates' performances in UTME together with meeting up with the required SSCE subjects for their proposed courses.

Nature of Post UTME Screening of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH)

1. The polytechnic will announce the sale of its post-UTME screening form, directly on the school portal.
2. Candidates are to obtain the screening forms. Here, you're to fill in your bio-data, SSCE subjects, and grades together with your UTME score
3. Candidates will have to check their status after the application is done. What you need to look for is if the status of your JAMB score and subject combination in O'level and UTME are met.
4. If all is well, candidates should be on the lookout for the polytechnic's admission lists when the time comes. You will be offered admission on the JAMB portal as well as on the school portal.
5. Once that happens, you have to pay the acceptance before proceeding to the polytechnic's campus for physical screening and fresher documentation.
