Can I Register for My National ID Card at a CBT Centre?

National ID card
JAMB has insisted all prospective admission seekers in the 2020/2021 admission year should register for the National ID card. These candidates will be given the National Identification Number (NIN).

National Identification Number (NIN) is the unique number that identifies you for life and is issued to you by NIMC after your enrolment. It is used to match you with your biometric data and other details in the National Identity Database during verification and authentication.

As a matter of fact, you don’t need the ID card for JAMB registration, rather only the NIN (the 11-digit number) will be required of you.

Will CBT Centre Register National ID Card?

Some candidates had made the attempts to register the national ID cards in their towns but to no avail. Some centers complaining of printer issues and similar issues.

As a result, candidates are asking if it’s possible to do the registration fo the National ID card at individual CBT centers too.

The good news…

JAMB has instructed all CBT centers to make provision of a stand for NIMC officials within its premises to capture intending applicants before they register for Unified Territay Examinations.

That is officially backed up with JAMB Advisory Instructions for 2020 CBT registration.

JAMB UTME/DE Candidates Can Register National ID Card at CBT Centre.

Having said that, candidates should make every effort to register their National ID cards at their individual communities and assigned the National Identity Management Commission offices/centres.

And if things remain blank or difficult, you can then consider visiting the nearest CBT centre where NIMC stand is available.

However, No JAMB accredited CBT Centre or any of its officials can serve as AGENT for NIMC in enrollment for NIN.
