UNILORIN Post UTME/DE (2023): Cut Off Mark, Price and Closing Date


This is to notify the general public, parents, sponsors, and prospective applicants that the University of Ilorin Kwara State admission form into 100 level and 200 level of her degree courses starts on .... All concerned should take note of the UTME and DE requirements, announced cut-off marks, price and payment procedures, and closing dates (......)as announced by the management.

UNILORIN Post UTME/DE Admission Requirements and Eligibility

  1. Applicants must have obtained UTME and DE forms as concerned and chosen the university as his or her first choice or earlier changed to the university.
  2. UTME applicant must have written 4 UTME subjects right for his/her proposed course. Note that the wrong subject in UTME may eventually deprive admission into the university. To be sure you're on the right path with your UTME and SSCE subjects, read, "UNILORIN List of Available Courses, UTME and SSCE subjects Requirement"
  3. UTME applicants must have obtained marks not less than 180 for some courses including Agric, education, etc, and 240 for courses including Accounting, Pharmacy, and law. Also, Medicine requires 245. See the full list of UNILORIN cut-off marks for different courses.
  4. DE applicants must have obtained the required grades from previous qualifications - depending on their proposed courses including Lower credit, Upper credit, 9 Points, etc.
  5. All applicants must as well possess at least 5 SSCE results credit passes in not more than two sittings and in relevant subjects for their proposed courses. Courses including Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy may only require one sitting. To be sure you're on the right path with your UTME and SSCE subjects, read, "UNILORIN List of Available Courses, UTME and SSCE subjects Requirement".
  6. NOTE: If you don't meet up with the announced cut-off mark, you will be allowed to change to any of the other courses that accept your score or less. Therefore care to check through and consider any other options and be mindful of O'level subject requirements for your new course before you register for it. This change of course does not attract an additional charge.
  7. Online registration will close on a date to be announced later.

UNILORIN Post UTME/DE Method of Application and Payment

  1. Wrong entries will automatically disqualify a candidate, and Admission will be based on an aggregate of UTME/DE score (50%); Post-UTME screening score (30%); and five (5) relevant O’ Level grades (20%).
  2. The registration Period is from .
  3. All candidates shall upload their O’ Level and/or A’ Level results where applicable on the JAMB CAPS: Candidates who are awaiting results should so indicate by writing ‘AR’.
  4. Change of Course: If required, this should be done on both the Unilorin and JAMB PORTALS for it to be valid.
  5. Ensure that you have a personal, valid, and active email address and phone number NOT (Cybercaf√©’s) before commencing the registration process.
  6. Proceed to pay the Registration fee of N2, 000.00 only.
  7. Please crosscheck all entries for correctness before final submission.
  8. Candidates should note that it is possible for them to correct errors in their entries while the registration process is still on.
  9. Candidates should print out their screening document and make sure that all information entered are correctly displayed. If not correctly displayed, candidates are advised to re-enter their information.


UNILOIN Post UTME Step-by-step Registration Procedure

(i) Log in using https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng and click on Post-UTME Candidates Login. Candidates are advised NOT TO USE ANY OTHER LINK.
(ii) On the Admission Menu displayed on the left-hand side of your screen, click on Verify Your Details.
(iii) Complete the displayed fields (e.g. JAMB Registration Number).
(iv) Candidates should click on the Get Details button for UTME/DE information.
(v) Complete all necessary details as required on the displayed page (e.g. O’ level and or A’ level grades or ‘AR’ for Awaiting results).
(vi) Click on the make payment button to go to the Remita platform.
• Select your ATM card type (e.g. Visa or Master Card).
• Enter your ATM Card Number which is the 12 digits number on the card.
• Enter ATM card expiry date and the card CVV (the 3 digits on the reverse side of the Card)
• Lastly enter your card pin number; and
• Click on Pay.

Please note: Do not Refresh your browser while the payment process is ongoing to avoid multiple deductions from your account. If unsure, please wait for some hours for the possibility of getting a debit alert from your bank. If you have problems with your previous payment, enter your JAMB Registration Number on the Pre-Admission Screening Registration page and click ‘here’ to resolve it.

(vii) Upon successful payment,
• now click on ‘admission login’ on the left-hand side of the undergraduate portal:
• enter your JAMB Registration Number and Surname and click ‘login’
(viii) click on the ‘next step’ button to continue, and complete all necessary details;
(ix) click ‘submit button when you are sure all information have been accurately provided.
Note: Candidates who wish to upgrade from UTME to Direct Entry after the close of Post-UTME screening registration should check the link ‘upgrade UTME to DE’ which is available on the Unilorin website Pre-Admission screening page.

C. Direct Entry (DE) candidates
(i) The step-by-step Registration Procedures in B, (i – ix) above also apply to D/E candidates.
(ii) In addition to (i) above, Direct Entry candidates are required to select their highest academic qualification from the drop-down and click on ‘Save’. Candidates are expected to click ‘OK’ on the dialog box when concluded.
(iii) Thereafter click on ‘save’ when concluded;
• Candidates are advised to carefully enter their results as any error will be deemed as deliberate falsification of results, which would lead to automatic disqualification at any stage of discovery.

Application for Change of Course on JAMB and School Portal

  1. For the number 7 above (UTME candidates should click on the Get Details button for your JAMB information), if you don't meet up with the announced cut off mark for your course, the portal will suggest you do a change of course to any other course (among the listed). 
  2. Make sure you have both UTME and SSCE subjects combination right for any new course you select. 
  3. Then proceed with your registration
  4.  Applicants at stage 7 above that didn't see his details displayed should check their JAMB registration number for any possible errors. If the same, it could mean you'd previously done JAMB change of Institutions to the school and it has not been confirmed yet on the school portal or in their database. You can wait a while and retry before the post UTME registration ends.
  5. In the case of applicants who had most recently changed course ONLY on the JAMB portal, you may not find the new course in your details if JAMB hasn't forwarded your details to the school or the school hasn't updated their database. You should wait a while too before proceeding to register.
  6. If you've not done a change of course on the JAMB portal but chose to do it on the school portal, it's advisable that after post UTME registration - having done school change of course, consider doing a change of course on the JAMB portal too.
  7. UNILORIN Online post UTME registration will close on .....(if not extended as the school portal may experience some technical inches for now).
  8. ATTENTION: If you have been trying to register on the portal but you're receiving "Error in Payment Parameter Occurred", Please for some hours before retrying. You can check back like twice a  day. It will eventually go. The school ICT is seriously working on the issues.

Requirements for Screening

  1. Admission Screening Registration Form
  2. Scheduling Slip
  3. All candidates are expected to come to the screening center with the printouts and their JAMB Registration Slip or Original JAMB Result
  4. Payment Receipt for Post UTME registration

Important Notice
  1. All candidates are expected to be at the screening centre an hour before their scheduled time with the above printouts and be decently dressed in line with the University of Ilorin Dress Code.
  2. You are to also upload your O/Level results on the JAMB CAPS.
  3. The result of PUTME will not be released until date to be announced later
  4. Ensure to visit the Unilorin Portal on the (date to be announced later) to confirm your entries.
