The Polytechnic Ibadan has announced the sale of its HND admission forms for full-time and part-time courses for the 2024/2025 academic year, requiring applicants to have an ND with at least a lower credit, completion of a one-year IT program, and at least 5 credit passes in relevant subjects from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB; the application fee is N10,500 (excluding bank charges), and the application process must be completed online via the Polytechnic's admission portal.

POLY Ibadan HND Admission Requirement and Eligibility
- To be admitted for HND courses, applicants must:
- Be holders of ND from the polytechnic or any other polytechnic with at least lower credit.
- Have completed one year of IT programmes after their National Diploma
- Posses at least 5 credit passes in their WAEC, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two sittings and must be in subjects right for their proposed courses.
- Have been given ND admission through UTME so as to have the valid JAMB registration number for NYSC mobilization purposes after completing HND progrmmes.
- Candidates with ND part-time will be required to do JAMB regularization to later have their JAMB registration number. This may not be needed for this registration though.
POLY Ibadan HND Admission Method of Application and Payment
- Eligible applicants will be required to pay N10,000 (excluding N350 bank charges) for the post-UTME exercise
- Visit the Ibadan Polytechnic Admission portal or click http://tpiportal.polyibadan.edu.ng/admissions/ to fill out the form
- Supply all information as correctly as required. Please provide a valid and working email and phone number.
- Select your programme and course. Continue to make payments after completing your registration.
Application for Admission into the HND 2024/2025 Programme starts on Tuesday, 4th June 2024 and closes on August 02, 2024

I studied metallurgical engineering at yabatech with a lower credit, can I switch to mechanical engineering or industrial engineering since metallurgical engineering is under industrial engineering in another polytechnic
ReplyDeleteYes you can. However, you have to go through admission requirements for those related courses to be sure your proposed school will accept it in their admission policies. Policies may be different among schools.

ReplyDeleteYou can obtain the form. However, it has to be the form of the same school where you had your ND or where you're awaiting the result. They should offer you admission based on the fact that they're the one delaying your result and they are aware of that.

ReplyDeleteNormally, if you need regularization, it ought to have been done before seeking another admission. However, if your proposed institution allows you to process the admission without the need for a valid JAMB registration number, you should defer that to later as you already noted.

DeleteI'm not sure that will be possible except you can visit the school and ask if they have such a provision before you can apply. In most cases, if not in all, your ND course will remain the same when going for the HND irrespective of the polytechnics. Read the post below.

Even if it will require lying and getting a fake IT letter, you must present an evidence of IT before you can be admitted for an HND course.
