About the HND/BSC Conversion Programme

The Senate has approved the request for the conversion of the Higher National Diploma (HND) to the degree programme.

With this approval, Higher National Diploma (HND) graduates wishing to upgrade their certificates to university degrees can do so by application so as to be admitted into the 400-level undergraduate programme of the university for a period of one year.

The Director, Centre for Continuing Education, Dr. Emmanuel Chisa Ibara while making the prayer said that the programme would provide suitable and flexible academic lectures to facilitate the conversion.

IAUE HND/BSC Conversion (Top-Up Degree) Admission Requirements

1. Possession of an HND certificate from a recognized Polytechnic or Institution or recognized professional accountancy bodies, e.g. Fellow of ICAN, ANAN, ACCA or any other recognized and acceptable professional accounting qualification. (This applies to accountancy candidates only) 
2. Completion or exemption and/or exclusion from NYSC where applicable
3. Candidates must possess credits in English and Mathematics at O-level. 

IAUE HND/BSC Conversion (Top-Up Degree) Method of Application and Payment

1. Application forms are obtained with a non-refundable fee of thirsty-thousand and two hundred naira (N31,200,00), payable directly online.
2. To start the application, visit the university portal or click https://www.iaueesp.com/ccereg/index#. Registration is online and candidates are advised to register from any location or can visit the Administrative Centre at St John’s Campus, near Garrison junction, Aba Road, Port Harcourt.
3. On ADMISSION Menu, click on “2024/2025 PART-TIME ADMISSION EXERCISE
4. On the page that appears, click on REGISTER FOR 2024/2025 PART-TIME ADMISSION EXERCISE
5. Fill the form correctly and click on Create account.
6. An E-mail containing your login details will be sent to you. Your login details will also be displayed on the page for you to copy and take note of.
7. Click on Login and enter your username and password sent to your email
8. You will be prompted to change your password. Save your new password.
9. Confirm your Invoice and click on Proceed to Pay
10. You will be redirected to Interswitch payment platform, enter your card details and make your payment conveniently. For security purposes, your card details are NOT stored in our secured portal.
11. After successful payment, click on ‘Update Personal Data’ menu on the left, UPDATE ALL FIELDS on your registration form and submit.
12. Print your Registration Slip and log out.
13. Save your login details. Your username and your password are your personal credentials to access your profile in the university portal.
