School of Environmental Health

1. WEST AFRICA HEALTH EXAMINATIONS BOARD ORDINARY NATIONAL DIPLOMA (WAHEB OND) IN ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMME (EHT)
Duration: 4 semesters.
Candidate must possess: At least five (5) Credit passes in WAEC, SSCE, NECO, O’ Level subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at not more than two ‘sittings.

2. WEST AFRICA HEALTH EXAMINATIONS BOARD NATIONAL DIPLOMA (WAHEB EHTD) IN ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMME (EHTD)
Duration: 4 semesters.
Candidate must possess: West Africa Health Examinations Board National Diploma (WAHEB OND) in Environmental Health Technology plus at least five (5) credit passes in WEAC, GCE, SSCE, NECO O’ Level subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two sittings.

b>3. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIANS-IN-TRAINING DIPLOMA PROGRAMME (EVT)
Duration: 6 semesters.

• Candidate must possess: at least three (3) Credit passes in WAEC, SSCE, NECO O’ Level subjects which must include English, Language,     Biology, or Health Science, Chemistry or physics and one additional science subject from (Nutrition, Agricultural Science, Geography and Technical Drawing) at no more than two sittings. A pass in Mathematics is compulsory.
• Holders of eha certificate with at least two (2) years post qualification cognate experience in addition to C (a) above shall be qualified for a direct entry admission to 200 Level.

4. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH ASSISTANTS-IN-TRAINING CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME (EHA)
Duration: 4 semesters.
Candidate must possess at least four (4) passes in WAEC, GCE, SSCE and NECO O’ Level subjects which must include English Language, Biology/Health Science, and two of the following subjects: Nutrition, Physics and Chemistry. The O’ level results must be obtained at not more than two (2) sittings.

5. DIPLOMA IN FOOD HYGIENE PROGRAMME (DFH)
Duration: 4 semesters.
Candidate must possess: city and guild certificate or NABTEB certificate in catering and Hotel Management with at least four (4) credit passes in WAEC, GCE, SSCE, NECO O’ Level subjects in English Language, Biology or Health Science, and any other two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The O’ level ‘results must be obtained at not more than two (2) sittings.

6. CERTIFICATE IN FOOD HYGIENE PROGRAMME (CFH)
Duration: 2 semesters.
Candidate must possess: at least four (4) credit passes in WAEC, GCE, SSCE, NECO O’ Level subjects i.e English Language, Biology or Health Science, and any other two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The O’ level results must be obtained at not more than two (2) sittings.

7. PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE IN OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY PROGRAMME (OHS)
Duration: 2 semesters.
Candidate must possess: the west Africa health examinations board higher national diploma (WAHEB HND) in environmental health technology OR its equivalent plus at least five (5) credit passes in WAEC, GCE, SSCE, NECO and NABTEB O’ Level subjects which include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two (2) sittings.

8. NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY (DOHS)
Duration: 6 SEMESTERS
Candidate must possess the following requirements: At least five (5) Credit passes in SSCE, GCE, NECO and NABTEB O’Level subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two sittings from one source i.e. NECO and NECO, SSCE and SSCE.

9. WEST AFRICA HEALTH EXAMINATIONS DIPLOMA IN HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAMME (HEDU)
Duration: 4 semesters.
Candidate must possess: at least five (5) credit passes in WAEC, GCE, SSCE, NECO O’ Level subjects which must include English language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two (2) sittings.

(i). National diploma programme in occupational health & safety
Duration: 6 semesters

Candidate must possess

• at least five (5) credit passes in WAEC, GCE, SSCE, and NECO O’ Level subjects which must include English language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two (2) sittings.
• Results from WAEC and NECO ‘can be combined for all programmes in the School of Environmental Health.

School of Community Health

1. COMMUNITY HEALTH EXTENSION WORKERS-IN-TRAINING DIPLOMA PROGRAMME (CHEW)
Duration: 6 semesters.

Candidate must possess the ‘following requirements:

• At least five (5) credit passes in WAEC/GCE/SSCE/NECO O’ Level subjects at not more than two sittings which must include: Biology or Health Science, Chemistry, Physics, English Language and Mathematics.
• Junior community health extension workers certificate (JCHEW Certificate) with two (2) years post qualification experience in addition to the above stated O’ Level requirement in A(i).

2. JUNIOR COMMUNITY HEALTH EXTENSION WORKERS-IN-TRAINING CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME (JCHEW)
Duration: 4 semesters.

Candidates must possess the following requirement:

• Passes in five (5) WAEC, GCE, SSCE, NECO O’ Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science and any other two (2) subjects at not more than two sittings. Passing Mathematics will be an added advantage.
• Serving workers e.g. Ward orderlies, Ward maids and dispensary attendants) in Health facilities with nomination and support of their         Local Government  Establishments  & NGOs e.t.c with at least five (5) passes in O’ Level subjects as stated in (i) above will also be eligible.

3. HUMAN NUTRITION AND DIETETICS DIPLOMA PROGRAMME (HUND)
Duration: 4 semesters.

• Candidate must possess at least five (5) credit passes in WAEC, GCE, SSCE, NECO and NABTEB O’ Level subjects at not more than two sittings in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Agric. Science or Food/Nutrition. A pass in physics is acceptable.
• The 2 results from WAEC and NECO can be combined for all programmes in the School of Community Health.

School of Health Information Management

1. DIPLOMA IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (HIM) PROGRAMME (TECHNICIANS)
Duration: 6 semesters

• Candidate must possess at least five (5) credit passes in  WAEC/SSCE, GCE, NABTEB & NECO O’ Level subjects at not more than two sittings from one source, and which must include English language, mathematics biology or health science, chemistry or physics and any other subject that can be selected among geography, economics, commerce and government.
• Holders of health information management assistant certificate (HIMA) with at least five passes in O’ Level subjects as stated in (i) above will be admitted to 200 Level.

2. DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN COMPUTER SCIENCE
Duration: 4 semesters
Candidate must possess at least five (5) credit passes in WAEC/SSCE, GCE, NECO & NABTEB O’ Level subjects at more than two sittings and which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. A pass in Chemistry may be considered.

School of Basic Medical Sciences

1. BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING/TECHNOLOGIST/TECHNICIANS IN-TRAINING PROGRAMME (BME)
Duration: 4 Semesters
Candidate must possess the following: Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) with credit level passes in WAEC, NECO SSCE, GCE and NABTEB in five subjects, including English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings.

2. ORDINARY NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIANS (OPT)
Duration: 6 SEMESTERS

Candidates must possess the following requirements:
At least five (5) Credit passes in SSCE, GCE, NECO and NABTEB O’Level subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two sittings from one source i.e. NECO and NECO, SSCE and SSCE.

3. CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME IN HIV/AIDS CONTROL MANAGEMENT (HIV)
Duration: 1 SEMESTER

Candidates must possess the following requirements:

• Health Worker (JCHEW, CHEW, Environmental Health Technologist/Assistant/Nurses, Health Records Technician e.t.c with two (2) years post qualification experience in addition to the above, At least five (5) Credit passes in SSCE, GCE, NECO and NABTEB O’ Level  subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two sittings from one source i.e. NECO and NECO, SSCE and SSCE
• Graduates in Health-related field

School of Public Health Nursing

1. WAHEB DIPLOMA IN PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING (PHN) PROGRAMME
Duration 4 SEMESTERS

Candidates must possess the following requirements:
Dual Qualifications registerable by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria i.e.

• National Diploma in Nursing or its equivalent
• RN Certificate (Registered Nurse Certificate)
• RM Certificate
• RPHN Certificate
• With five (5) credit passes in WAEC/NECO O’ Level including English Language and one Science subject 
• Plus one-year post qualification experience.

2. DENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIANS IN TRAINING DIPLOMA PROGRAMME (DT)
Duration: 6 Semesters
Candidate must possess at least 5 credit passes in WASC, GCE, SSCE, NECO OR NABTEB O’ Level subjects which must include English language, Biology or health science, mathematics, Chemistry and one other Science subject obtained at not more than two sittings.

3. HEALTH TECHNICIANS-IN-TRAINING DIPLOMA PROGRAMME (HT)
Duration: 6 Semesters.

• Candidate must possess at least four (4) credit passes in WAEC, GCE, SSCE, NECO, & NABTEB O’ Level subjects which must include English Language, Biology or Health Science, Mathematics, and any other subject from the following: Chemistry/ Physics// Agricultural     Science at not more than two sittings.
• Holders of Health Assistants Certificate (HAM Cert.) with 2 years post qualification cognate experience in addition to c (i) above shall be qualified for a direct entry admission to 200 Level.

4. HEALTH ASSISTANTS IN TRAINING (MEDICAL OPTION) CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME (HAM)
Duration: 4 Semesters.
Candidate must possess at least four (4) passes in WASC, GCE, SSCE, and NECO & NABTEB O’ Level subjects which must include English Language, Biology/ Health Science, Mathematics and any other subject from Sciences and Social Sciences at not more than two sittings.
N.B: 2 results from WAEC and NECO can be combined for all Programmes in the school of Public Health Nursing.

School of Laboratory Science

1. PHARMACY TECHNICIANS IN TRAINING CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME (PHT)
Duration: 6 Semesters.
Candidate must possess at least 5 credit passes in WAEC, GCE, SSCE and NECO O’ Level subjects which must include Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, English Language and Physics at not more than two (2) sittings from one source i.e. NECO to NECO, WAEC to WAEC.

2. MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIANS IN TRAINING CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME (MLT)
Duration: 6 Semesters.
Candidate must possess at least 5 credits passes in WAEC, GCE, SSCE, NECO & NABTEB O’ Level subjects at not more than 2 sittings which must include English Language, Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. A result that is not more than 5 years from the next academic session is not acceptable to the medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).

3. X-RAY TECHNICIANS-IN-TRAINING CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME (XRAY)
Duration: 6 Semesters.
Candidates must possess:

• At least 5 credit passes in WASC, GCE, SSCE, NECO O’ Level subjects, including English Language, Biology/Health Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics obtained at not more than 2 sittings from one Source i.e. WAEC to WAEC, NECO to NECO.
• X-Ray Assistant Certificate plus O' Level requirements in (C i) above will be admitted to the 200 Level.
