Can I Do Mass Communication With D7, E8 or F9 in Maths

Mass communication is an art course. Hence, it may not require Mathematics to study from a common-sense point of view. However, the reality is otherwise. Schools offering Mass Communication require candidates to have at least O’level credit pass. In other words, candidates are required to have at least C6 (last credit) to study mass communication.

However, some universities are friendly and lenient in their admission policies. Hence, they accept ordinary pass (i.e. D7 or E8) or even F9 in SSCE results for Mass Com.

This post will list such schools that will offer you admission without Mathematics or with any deficiency in it.

If you prefer other courses that you can be admitted for with ordinary pass or Fail in Mathematics, read, "21+ Universities That Accept D7, E8 or F9 for Law and Other Courses". Science students should consider reading, degree-awarding institutions that accept D7 or E8 in Mathematics for science courses.

NOTE:
  • All reference in this post is according to JAMB official brochure. Hence, they are 100% confirmed and conformed with the schools' entry policies.
  • Where the school is silent regards Mathematics, it only means F9 can still be accepted. However, that doesn't imply without writing or attempting Mathematics at all.

  2. Thanks for asking.

I'm sorry to tell you that, this result still has some deficiencies beyond what a school or a course can accept. I will advise you to resit for the next SSCE to make up for subjects you will need.
