FUTMINNA Predegree/IJMB (2021/2022): Portal, Price and Closing Date

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO PRELIMINARY DEGREE/IJMB PROGRAMMES FOR 2021/2022

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the One-year Preliminary Degree programme for the 2021/2022 academic session for both Minna and Suleja Centres and IJMB 2021/2022 academic session Minna Centre only of the Federal University of Technology, Minna.

List of Prospective Courses For FUTMINNA Pre-Degree and Degree Courses

The University runs various Science and Technology based degree programmes in the following Schools:
  1. Agriculture and Agricultural Technology 
  2. Electrical Engineering and Technology
  3. Environmental Technology 
  4. Information and Communication Technology 
  5. Infrastructure, Process Engineering, and Technology
  6. Life Sciences 
  7. Physical Sciences 
  8. Science and Technology Education.

FUTMINNA Pre-degree and IJMB Requirement and Eligibility

  1. Candidate MUST have at least five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics, and in any three of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Biology/Agricultural Science/Health Science/Technical Drawing and Geography at SSCE, GCE O’ Level, NECO and NABTEB
  2. The O'level results obtained should not be at more than two sittings. 
  3. For the IJMB programme, Agricultural Science and Health Science are not acceptable.
  4. Note that after completion of your pre-degree course, you will be given admission to 100 level of your proposed course with the required mark in UTME. Also, IJMB with obtaining of JAMB Direct entry form will give you admission to 200 level of your proposed course in the university or any other universities accepting IJMB.

FUTMINNA Predegree and IJMB Method of Application and Payment

  1. Candidates are to visit FUTMinna admission portal for preliminary studies to obtain instructions for the purchase of application forms.
  2. Application form cost Five Thousand Naira (N5,000.00) excluding N250 online charge transaction charge.
  3. The payment can be done using the following:
  • Generate RRR from this portal, go to a bank to pay, and return to complete the registration.
  • Pay using Debit Card (VISA, Master Card Recommended
  • Other instructions you need to complete the registration are attached to every page you opened.
  • If you have started this process before then enter your application number and your password to continue ...

  • Duration of sales: (a) Pre-degree (closing date to be announced later)
  • IJMB (closing date to be announced later)
  • Please note that the Centre is not liable to give reasons for rejecting any application, nor will it enter into correspondence on the subject matter with any applicant.

    1. Will there be entrance exam for this pre- degree or how do they admit students into the pre degree program?

    2. After completion of the pre -degree program, are they still going to use Jamb requirements to place the students into 100level or they will use their pre- degree results.

    1. No exams for the last intakes. There may not be exams for this year too.

      You still need to write JAMB and pass it before you can be admitted into 100 level.
