Who is a First-Year Applicant?

These are secondary school holders. They're done with their senior secondary education and already passed meeting the requirements for admission into the university.

This set of applicants, if admitted, will undergo their undergraduate degree studies while with the university on a full-time basis.

MIT First-Year Admission Requirements and Eligibility

  1. Applicant must have completed his or her secondary education.
  2. MIT will not require General Educational Development (GED) for its admission. However, having that may be an added advantage
  3. Prospective aspirants may apply during or after their final year of secondary education
  4. The university will not consider applications from candidates who have already been matriculated to another degree-granting institution. However, exceptions may be granted to students in the southern hemisphere, on an alternate calendar, who begin their college education while undergoing our application process.
