SPECIAL CONDITIONS TO NOTE FOR PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION ADMISSION

DIRECT ENTRY:
(i) AAU accepts:
a. BSc, BA or HND in other programme
b. ND upper credit in Accounting.
c. Foundation of ICAN
(ii) ILORIN
a. For Accounting accepts ND upper credit in Accounting and Data processing, HND lower credit, ND upper credit in Accountancy or ND lower credit with ICAN (ATS) or ICAN (ACA).
b. For Business Administration accepts ND upper credit in Business Studies/Business Management.
c. For Finance requires A level passes not less than grade C including Accounting and one(1) of Mathematics, Business Management, Economics, Statistics, Geography and Government, at least twelve (12) Points. Accepts ND upper credit in Banking and Finance in addition to meeting the UTME requirements.
(iii) BINGHAM, AJAYI and AAU require A level pass in Accounts, accept ND in Accounting, Banking and Finance or Business Management. For Business Administration, AJAYI accepts A Level or equivalents in Economics and one(1) of Business Management, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Geography and Government plus 'O' level credit passes in English Language and Mathematics
(iv) CUAB requires:
(a) Two (2) A Level passes to include Mathematics and either Economics or Account.
(b) IJMB at acceptable grades.
(c) NCE credit, ND lower credit, and approved equivalent of may be admitted to the appropriate level.
(v) JOS accepts:
a. two (2) Principal and one(1) subsidiary passes in any of the following subjects: Principles of Accounts, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Government and Commerce. In addition to the IJMB/A level, candidates should have credit passes in three (3) UTME subjects as per O level requirements other than the ones obtained at IJMB/A level.
b. i. Candidates must have completed from a recognised institution with a minimum of lower credit in any of the following programmes of studies: Business Administration, Accounting, Accounting/Auditing, banking, Finance, Marketing, Purchasing and Supply, Actuarial Science/Insurance, Secretarial Administration, Office Management, Psychology, Public Business Studies, Administration, Catering and Hotel Management and Statistics, Financial Studies.
ii. In addition, HND candidates must have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in O level subjects as in UTME requirements.
c. In addition to O level requirements as in A above, candidates must have a merit in any of the following: Business Education, Mathematics/Economics, Geography/Economics, Secretarial Studies, Financial Studies.
d. In addition to the UTME requirement, candidates must pass any of the following professional courses. I.C.A.N, CI.B., A.C.I.S., A.C.C.A., N.I.M. and C.M.A. Institute of Certified Public Accounting of Nigeria.
(vi) LASU accepts:
a. ND/HND not admissible for Direct Entry.
b. For Public Administration two (2) A level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography and Statistics.
c. For Marketing and Business Administration two (2) A level passes chosen from Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography, Business Methods and Economics.
d. For Accounting two (2) A level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government and Mathematics.
e. For Insurance two (2) A level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography and Statistics.
(vii) UNN accepts for three (3) year programme Direct Entry candidates to possess any of the following qualifications:
a. Two (2) A level passes or its equivalent in any of the following subjects: Government, History, Economics, Business Management, Accounting and Geography plus the UTME requirements.
b. ND from recognised institutions in Law, Secretarial studies or its equivalent plus the UTME requirements.
c. HND lower credit of recognised institutions plus the UTME requirements.
(viii) BIU requires in addition to the O level requirements specified, a minimum of two (2) relevant subjects passed at A level or NCE three (3) merits or ND credit in relevant programme.
(ix) BOWEN accepts two (2) A level passes which must include Economics, IJMB/NCE/ND or approved equivalent in relevant subject(s).
(x) UNIOSUN accepts:
a. For Accounting:
A level passes in Economics and any one (1) of the following subjects: Geography, Government and Accounting in addition to the UTME requirements. ND lower credit and approved equivalent in relevant programmes may be considered. ICAN ATS Final level and Foundation pass of recognised professional bodies i.e. ICAN, ACCA (London), CIMA (UK), CIBN, CITN and other members of IFAC may be considered.
b. For Business Administration:
A Level passes in two (2) of the following subjects: Economics, Geography, Business Studies, Government, Accounting and Book-Keeping, in addition to the UTME requirements. ND lower credit and approved equivalents in relevant programmes may be considered.
(xi) CALABAR accepts:
a. For Accounting:
(i). CALABAR DBA, ND upper credit in relevant programmes; HND lower credit in relevant programme
(ii). does not accept IJMB or A level paper or NCE for Direct Entry.
b. For Marketing:
(i) Two (2) A level passes chosen from Economics or Mathematics, Government and Geography. ND in Business Administration.
(ii) Does not accept IJMB and NCE
c. For Business Management:
(i) ND credit in any Management programme including Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Management, Marketing and Computer science.
(ii) A level passes in any three (3) of Accounting, Business Management, Economic and Mathematics plus O level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Commerce or Economics.
(xii) BENIN accepts:
a. For Accounting; in addition to the UTME requirements, requires two (2) A level passes in Accounting and Economics/Business Management; ND upper credit/HND lower credit in Accounting, Financial Studies or Business Management; First Degree Second Class Lower in any relevant programme; NCE credit in Accounting; ICAN foundation or its equivalent or Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administration Final, HND upper credit in Accounting is accepted into 300 level.
b. For Business Administration; Same as in Accounting but requires two (2) A level passes including Economics or Mathematics, requires ND upper credit/HND lower credit in Accounting, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Marketing or Insurance or NCE credit in Business Studies.
c. For Insurance and Actuarial Science:
i. Applicant should possess five (5) O level credit passes or equivalent, two (2) of which shall be at the A level or O level credit passes at least three (3) of which shall be at the A level provided that subjects are not counted at both levels of the examination. Credit passes at the O level must include English Language and Mathematics.
ii. ND upper credit in relevant programme in addition to five (5) O level credit passes.
iii. HND lower credit in relevant programmes in addition to five (5) O level credit passes.
iv. Final Certificate of relevant Professional Bodies in addition to five (5) O level credit passes.
d. For Marketing:
i. UTME requirements plus two (2) subjects passed at the A level, one (1) of which should be Accounting and the other either Economics or Business Management.
ii. In Exceptional cases the following qualifications may also be considered:
a. UTME requirements plus a complete pass in the intermediate examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or of any other equivalent Professional Accounting bodies or
b. UTME requirements plus passes in all parts of the Associateship Examination of the Institute of Bankers. or
c. UTME requirements plus ND upper credit in Marketing or any relevant subject from a recognised Polytechnic or College of Technology.
d. UTME requirements plus HND in any relevant programme awarded by a recognised Polytechnic or College of Technology.
e. UTME requirements plus a bachelor s degree in any programme awarded by a recognised University.
(xiii) ABU accepts two (2) A level/IJMB passes in Management/Social Science Subjects one of which must be Economics.
(xiv) CALABAR accepts five (5) O level credit passes, including English Language and Government, a pass in Mathematics, plus two (2) A level subjects in the Social Sciences with a minimum of C.
(xv) KWASU accepts:
a. For Accounting IJMB, Cambridge ONLY, ND upper credit in Accounting, HND Accounting (Lower Credit)
b. For Business Administration IJMB, Cambridge ONLY, ND upper credit in Business Administration, HND lower credit in Business Administration.
(xvi) PAUL accepts two (2) A level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government and Geography.
(xvii) BELLS accepts two (2) A Level passes in any two (2) of Chemistry, Economics, Geography and Mathematics.
(xviii) EBSU accepts for Public Administration candidates with NCE, ND or HND, the candidates are expected to possess the relevant UTME requirements
(xix) CRAWFORD accepts:
a. For Marketing:
i. Two (2) A level passes in Economics or anyone of Business Management, Geography, Accounting Government, Mathematics or Statistics.
ii. NCE - With passes in Accounting, Business Studies or any Social Science
iii. ND/HND in relevant subjects not lower than Lower Credit.
b. For Accountancy:
i. Two (2) A level passes including Economics plus anyone of Accounting, Government, Commerce, and Business Management.
ii. NCE pass in Accounting, Business Studies or any Social Science
iii. ND/HND lower credit in relevant subjects.
c. For Business Administration:
i. Two (2) A level passes in Economics and any one (1) of Business Management, Geography, Accounting, Government, or Statistics
ii. NCE merit in Business Management or any Social Science subject.
iii. ND/HND lower credit in relevant subjects.
(xx) AAU for Public Administration requires two (2) A level passes including Government/History, Economics or any other Social Science subject.
(xxi) WESTERN-DEL accepts:
a. For Accounting:
i. Two (2) A Level passes including Economics and one (1) other subject.
ii. NCE merit in relevant subjects.
iii. ND lower credit in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration. Intermediate passes in ICAN, ACCA, ICMA and CIBN examinations.
b. For Business Administration:
i. Two (2) A level passes in Economics and one (1) other Social Science subject.
ii. ND in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Marketing or Insurance, NCE in Business Studies.
(xxii) AUE:
a. For Accounting accepts A level passes in Economics or Business Management and one other subject, or ND/NCE upper credit in Accounting, Business Management Studies from an approved Polytechnics, College of Technology or College of Education.
b. For Business Administration accepts A level passes in Economics or Business Management and one (1) other subject or ND upper credit in Business Administration from recognised Polytechnics.
(xxiii) SALEM requires A level passes in Mathematics and any other relevant subjects.
(xxiv) DELSU accepts ND upper credit in Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, Insurance, Banking/Finance, Actuarial Science and Purchasing and Supply. Does not accept IJMB.
(xxv) RHEMA accepts ND/HND in Accounting plus the UTME requirements.
(xxvi) FUNAAB requires A level passes in Accounting and one (1) of Mathematics, Business Management, Economics and Government plus UTME requirements. Accepts ND upper credit in Accounting or Business Administration. It does not accept NCE.
(xxvii) GOUU accepts:
a. For Accounting, B.Sc., BA or HND in other programme, ND upper credit in Accounting, Foundation of ICAN.
b. For Business Administration, two (2) A level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government. BSc, BA or HND in other programmes, ND upper credit in Business Administration.
c. For Marketing, two (2) A level passes in Economics and any one (1) of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government. BSc, BA or HND in other programmes, ND upper credit in Marketing.
d. For Public Administration: BA, BSc or HND in other programmes, ND upper credit in Public or Business Administration.
(xxviii) UMYUK requires minimum of nine (9) points in IJMB/HSC/GCE A level/NCE in Economics, Mathematics and any of Social and Management Science subjects. Candidates with ND lower credit in relevant programmes from recognised institutions may also be admitted.
(xxix) RENAISSANCE accepts ND credit from a recognised institution in related programmes like Accountancy, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Marketing plus the UTME requirements.
(xxx) CALEB:
a. For Business Administration accepts ND credit level in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies or Social Sciences related studies may be considered for admission by Direct Entry provided they have the UTME requirements at one (1) sitting.
b. For Accounting accepts ND credit in Accounting, Banking, Financial Studies or Social Sciences, related studies may be considered for admission by direct entry provided they have the UTME requirements at one (1) sitting.
(xxxi) NDU requires:
i. Candidates must possess two (2) A level passes which must include Economics or:
ii. ND upper credit in a related programmes.
iii. Candidates must satisfy the normal UTME requirements.
(xxxii) NTNU accepts any two (2) A level passes in Arts or Social Science subjects, ND/HND lower credit or NCE merit in relevant programmes.
(xxxiii) SOUTHWESTERN accepts:
a. For Accounting:
i. NCE merit in relevant subjects.
ii. Two (2) A level passes in Accounting or Economics and any one other subject.
iii. Foundation of professional examination such as ICAN, ACCA, ICMA.
iv. ND/HND lower credit in programmes.
v. ND/HND/ATS of ICAN.
b. For Marketing accepts IJMB/NCE/ND/HND/ATS of ICAN or approved equivalent.
(xxxiv) ABUJA for Public Administration accepts two (2) A level passes in Government or History, NCE (minimum 10 points) or ND upper credit in relevant programme in addition to the UTME requirements.
(xxxv) UMUDIKE requires two (2) A level passes in Accounting and any other subject from Economics, Mathematics, and Government. Accepts NCE, ND, HND lower credit in relevant programmes in addition to UTME requirements.
(xxxvi) PAN-ATLANTIC accepts:
a. Two (2) A level passes in any relevant subjects
b. ND lower credit in relevant programmes.
c. NCE lower credit in relevant programmes.
d. HND lower credit in relevant programmes.
e. International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) in relevant subjects.
(xxxvii) UNIKINGS accepts ND lower credit or NCE merit in relevant subjects.
(xxxviii) ODUDUWA accepts NCE merit in relevant subjects.
(xxxix) CHRISTOPHER requires two (2) A level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government, Statistics and Geography. Accepts HND, ND or NCE credit in relevant subjects.

SSCE RESULTS
(i) ILORIN requires O level credit passes in any three (3) of Accounting, Business Method, Commerce, Geography, Economics, Statistics and Government.
(ii) IGBINEDION accepts O level credit pass in Financial Accounting in lieu of Economics.
(iii) AJAYI requires two (2) other subjects from Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Geography and Government.
(iv) RENAISSANCE and CUAB accept O level credit pass in Commerce in lieu of Economics.
(v) LAUTECH requires two (2) subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science and Geography.
(vi) CUAB:
(a) For Business Administration requires five (5) O level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two (2) of the following: Commerce, Geography and Statistics.
(b) For Accounting requires five (5) O level credits passes which include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any other two (2) social science subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.
(vii) LASU:
(a) For Accounting requires other two (2) relevant subjects, it could be from any of Principles of Account, Commerce, Office Practice and Secretarial duties.
(b) For Public Administration requires O level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Government, Economics and any one (1) of Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice and Secretariat Studies.
(c) For Business Administration requires five (5) O level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics plus any three (3) of Economics, Accounting, Commerce, Government and Geography.
(d) For Insurance requires five (5) O level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics plus any two (2) of Accounting, Business Method, Commerce, Government, Geography and Statistics.
(e) For Marketing, it requires five (5) O level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics plus any three (3) of Business Method, Commerce, Book Keeping and Economics.
(viii) COVENANT:
a. For Accounting requires five (5) O level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, one (1) science subject from the following: Biology, Health/ General Science, Agricultural Science, Physics and Chemistry and either of Geography, Government, Accounting, Book Keeping and Commerce.
b. For Marketing: requires O level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics one of Government or History and any Science subject from Biology, Health/General Science, Agricultural Science, Physics and Chemistry.
(ix) UNIOSUN requires:
(a) For Accounting: five (5) O level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics and Economics to form the core subjects and in any of the following: Geography, Government and Accounting at one sitting.
(b) For Business Administration five (5) O level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics and Economics to form the core subjects and in any of the following: Geography, Commerce, Government, Accounts and Book-keeping at one sitting.
(x) AUN:
a. accepts A level passes chosen from Mathematics, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Literature in English, Government, History, Economics, Geography, Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Visual Arts, Computer Studies, Information Technology, Civics, and French.
b. does not accept O level credit passes in the following; Agriculture, Food and Nutrition, Home Economics, Home Craft, Home management, Physical Education, Physical and Health Education, Music, Commerce, Accounting, Financial Accounting, Book keeping, Islamic History, Religious Studies, Tajweed, Library Studies, Diction, Kiswahili, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Arabic, Turkish, Study skills.
c. accepts ICGSE and A level Cambridge and does not offer admissions direct to 200 level programs. May transfer credits relevant to it's major at the discretion of the Dean of School.
(xi) CALABAR requires five (5) O level credit passes including English Language and Government and O level pass in Mathematics. No candidates will be considered without a credit in English Language. For Public Administration Same as in Policy and Administrative Studies.
(xii) KASU requires five (5) O level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two (2) of Arts or Social Science subjects.
(xiii) EBSU requires five (5) O level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Government and any other subject.
(xiv) NTNU accepts one (1) subject from Accounting, Banking and Finance, Commerce, Geography, Business Studies, Government or Statistics in lieu of Economics.
(xv) NTNU same as in Accountancy.
(xvi) ABSU same as Political Science.
(xvii) GOUU requires five (5) O level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in subjects which include English Language, Mathematics and Economics.
(xviii) PAUL requires five (5) O level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) relevant subjects.
(xix) REDEEMERS requires five (5) O Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) subjects in Social Sciences.
(xx) CRAWFORD requires for Business Administration five (5) O level credit passes to include English Language, Economics, Mathematics and at least two (2) from Business Methods, Accounting, Commerce, Geography and Government.
(xxi) AAU requires five (5) O level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Government/History and any other subject.
(xxii) WESTERN-DEL for Business Administration requires five (5) O level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics or Accounts, one other Social Science subject and any one (1) other subject of choice.
(xxiii) NDU requires five (5) O level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two (2) other subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.
(xxiv) BELLS requires O level pass in Physics for Business Computing and Information Technology.
(xxv) CALABAR requires five (5) O level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two (2) of Arts or Social Science subjects.
(xxvi) KWASU:
(a) For Accounting requires: five (5) O level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting and any other social science subject.
(b) For Business Administration requires five (5) O level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) social science subjects preferably Business Studies/Commerce or English Language, Mathematics, Government and any two (2) social science subjects.
(xxvii) UNN accepts UTME requirements plus O level credit passes in English Language, Government, or History and Mathematics.
(xxviii) GOUU accepts:
(a) For Business Administration and Marketing, O level credit pass in Commerce in lieu of Economics.
(b) For Public Administration five (5) O level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Government or History or Commerce and two (2) other subjects.
(xxix) UMYUK accepts five (5) O level credit passes or its equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) relevant Social Science subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.
(xxx) RENAISSANCE requires five (5) O level credit passes to include Mathematics, English Language, Economics or Accounting.
(xxxi) FUNAAB requires two (2) relevant O level credit passes from any of Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Government or Geography.
(xxxii) NDA requires O level credit passes in English Language,
Mathematics, Accounting and two (2) other subjects from
Commerce, Geography, History, French, Arabic and
Government.
(xxxiii) KSU for Public Administration: five (5) O level credit
passes in English Language, Mathematics, Government,
Economics and any other Arts or Social Science subject. (xxxiv) AUCHIPOLY-DEG for Business administration requires five
(5) O level credit passes in English Language,
Mathematics plus any two (2) of Accounting, Business
Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography and
Statistics.
(xxxv) BENIN:
a. For Insurance O level credit pass in Further Mathematics is an advantage.
b. For Marketing requires five (5) O level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two (2) other subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.
(xxxvi) ABUJA for Public Administration requires five (5) O level
credit passes including English, Mathematics,
Government or History, Economics or Commerce and any
other relevant subjects.
(xxxvii) BABCOCK - O level credit pass in Economics may be
considered provided the candidate has a O level credit
pass in Accounting or Commerce.
(xxxviii) UMUDIKE requires two (2) other O level credit passes
from Government, Christian Religious Studies and
Geography.
(xxxix) OOU requires O level credit passes in any three (3) of
Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Economics,
Statistics, Government and Geography. Islamic Studies/
Christian Religious Studies, Yoruba and History.
(xl) CHRISTOPHER requires five (5) O level credit passes in
English Language, Mathematics, Economics, one (1) Science
subject and any one of Accounting, Business Methods,
Commerce, Government, Geography or Statistics.
(xli) BELLS require five (5) O Level credits passes at one (1) or two
(2) sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) subjects.
(xlii) PAN-ATLANTIC requires five (5) O level credit passes
including English Language, Mathematics/ Economics/
Accounting/ Commerce and other relevant subjects.
(xliii) COAL-CITY requires five (5) O level credit passes including
English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other
two (2) relevant subjects.
(xliv) NDA requires five (5) O level credit passes in English
Language, Mathematics, Accounting and any two (2) Arts
and Social Science subjects from Commerce, Government,
Civic Education, Accounting, Geography, History and
Economics.

UTME SUBJECTS:
(i) CRUTECH and EKSU require Economics, Mathematics, and any Social Science subject.
(ii) BOWEN requires Government for Public Administration.

(iv) LAUTECH requires three (3) subjects from Physics, Chemistry or Biology/Agricultural Science
(v) JOS requires Principles of Accounting, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Government and Commerce
(vi) UNN requires Government/History plus two (2) other subjects from social sciences or Arts.
(vii) CALABAR for Public Administration, requires Government, Economics and any other Arts and Social Science subject.
(viii) WESTERN-DEL For Business Administration, requires Mathematics, Economics and any other Social Science subject.
(ix) LASU:
(a) For Business Administration requires one (1) of Commerce, Geography or Government.
(b) For Insurance requires one (1) of Geography, Commerce, Business Methods or Statistics.
(c) For Public Administration requires Government as the other subject.
(x) AUE requires five (5) O level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics and any three (3) from Economics, Geography, Commerce, Government, Accounts and Book-Keeping at not more than two (2) sittings.
(xi) UMYUK requires Economics, Mathematics and any Social Science subject.
(xii) NTNU accepts: Economics/Principles of Accounting and any two (2) Arts or Social Science subjects.
(xiii) CUAB:
(a) For Business Administration requires Mathematics, English Language, Economics and Government/Commerce or any other social science subject.
(b) For Accounting requires English Language, Economics, Mathematics and Geography/Commerce/ Government.
(xiv) AUCHIPOLY-DEG for Business administration requires Mathematics, Economics and any other subject.
(xv) OOU accepts Mathematics/Economics and any two (2) other Social Science subjects.
(xvi) BAYERO requires Government or History plus two (2) other Social Science subjects.
(xvii) ABUJA for Public Administration requires Mathematics, Government, and any other Social Science subject.
(xviii) UMUDIKE requires one of Government, Principles of Account, Christian Religious Studies and Geography as the 4th subject.
(xix) PAN-ATLANTIC accepts Mathematics /Economics/Accounting/Commerce and any other relevant subjects.
(xx) KSU accepts Commercial subjects in place of Social Science subjects.
(xxi) BELLS accepts Mathematics and any two (2) Social Science subjects.
(xxii) COAL-CITY requires Mathematics, Economics plus any Social Science subject.
